Compared to the other 5.56mm rifles, the M16A4 has relatively low recoil (single fire mode) and in the hands of a skilled operator, its burst mode allows it to potentially have the fastest fire rate of any assault rifle, however this is countered by the fact that the recoil occasionally jumps sideways, making it slightly harder to use. The M16A4 can only accept sights up to the 6x Scope, limiting its use as a long-range sharpshooting rifle.

When using the M16A4, I can do whatever I want with it, I can use it however I want. If you choose to use this gun for long ranged or midrange gunfights, at least a 3x scope (6x preferably) is required, coupled with an extended quick draw magazine and a compensator for AR. If you decide to use this weapon for CQCs, a red dot or holographic sight is best for the upper rail attachment.

The M16A4 is in fact a very special weapon in PUBG mobile. Due to its versatility in all type of combat range (mid, long or close) the developers decided to nerf the weapon, it was very over powered. These days, it still is, but with a crazier recoil pattern when firing on burst mode. The lack of automatic firing mode makes this weapon a no no for most players.

Last month PUBG was given a major update with the introduction of new map Taego and a Gulag-style second chance system, but there are yet more surprises in store - with multi-care packages, a secret room and... burning planes... all being added in the latest update.

The patch notes for update 13.1 for PC are now live, and detail changes for both Taego and the wider game. Possibly the most dramatic addition is a feature called the "emergency landing plane", which will definitely keep players on their toes at the start of a match. Instead of the usual calm flight above the battlegrounds, this plane starts hurtling towards the ground - while on fire - and any players who remain on board until the end of the journey will take 50 percent damage. It travels faster than the normal plane, and has a varied fall height, so you'll need to jump at the start of the journey if you want to glide further across the map.

One Taego-specific feature being added in the update is the Taego Secret Room. This is filled with top-tier gear, including "items not found elsewhere on the Battlegrounds", and can be opened with a hidden key. So you'll need to scour Taego for hidden keys to access this particular treasure trove.

In response to player feedback calling for an increase in the amount of care package drops, PUBG Corp is increasing the number of drops through "additional small drops". This means that instead of one player getting all the loot, others will be able to pick up some smaller prizes from the additional crates. There will now be one standard care package, accompanied by five to 15 smaller care packages containing things like ammo, healing items and throwables - with the occasional standard care package spawn item thrown in.

The update also brings some changes to PUBG's Sanhok map, with the aim being to "improve movement flow in specific areas," along with adding additional cover. There are some wider changes to weapon balance, with snipers given some significant buffs and DMRs made more difficult to use at range. Taego item spawn rates are also being adjusted, with a significant boost in the amount of Self AEDs and stun grenades. Check out the patch notes here for the full breakdown of all these changes.

Meanwhile, dataminers have found evidence that PUBG could be getting a zombie defence mode in the near future. PlayerIGN posted a video of some of the music and zombie noises that could be a part of this mode, adding that the mode will require players to survive waves of zombies to earn coins and buy items, with everything taking place on PUBG's training map.

Molotov Cocktails create an area of fire on the ground around where they impact. Players hit by or passing through this area will be set aflame, doing constant damage over time. Molotov Cocktails can be used offensively, but don't bounce like other throwable weapons. Another potential use of a molotov cocktail is area denial. If you set the staircase on fire, players will not be able to pursue you up to higher floors, and you can use this extra time to set up a kill zone or escape off a balcony. Molotov cocktails can also be used defensively to obscure an enemy's line of sight, similar to a Smoke Grenade.

Your framerate seems to be affecting the rate of fire and recoil of weapons in PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. Youtuber WackyJacky101 has been blasting an innocent wall, for science, to see how guns behave differently at 180 fps, 60 fps, and 30 fps. The results convincingly show that for high rate-of-fire guns, such as the Groza, a lower framerate results in lower rate of fire and more manageable recoil.

The issue seems particularly severe for the Groza, but we also see how framerate changes the firing patterns of the M416 and the Vector. Slowpokes like the AKM and SCAR-L seem unaffected but, as we'll see, there's a deeper problem. WackyJacky sketches out the recoil patterns in the video below.

There has been interesting speculation as to why this is happening which has, inevitably, led to the creation of a spreadsheet. On Reddit, user MutuTutu theorises that gun performance depends on the weapon's rate of fire relative to your framerate. If your framerate is just one frame out of sync with a gun's rate of fire, the rate of fire (and therefore recoil) can be significantly affected.

Because the problem seems to be tied to the way the game handles firing and recoil calculations for every shot, it may be difficult to fix. There hasn't been any response to the research from Bluehole, on the blog and Twitter at least, but hopefully it's something that can be changed.

Strange things happen when game logic and framerates entwine. Recently Fallout 76 has had issues with player speed being tied to framerate. Damage-per-second in Vanquish accelerated at higher framerates, and weapon durability broke in Dark Souls 2.

When a PUBG port for Android and iOS was announced, players were concerned about how the gameplay would rely on dragging, tapping, and swiping. The developers(Tencent) definitely delivered and have made PUBG on mobile very intuitive and easier to play on than the other platforms.

Although it can feel unnatural at first, with the tips on this page, players can easily learn to shoot and aim better for more accurate shots in order to bag those chicken dinners! The tips below would help both new and experienced players:

While it's possible for players to get far with the default layout and arrangement for PUBG Mobile, there are benefits to heading to the settings and customizing the arrangement to better suit play style, finger size and generally, dexterity. By default, there are two buttons for firing, one on the left and one on the right. Keeping those there is a good idea. Having only one button for shooting can be a handicap. Customize the layout by going to Settings--Controls--Customize. Drag each button to a comfortable position. Players can also decrease or increase the transparency and change the size of each button. The best PUBG mobile players always have a custom layout that without a doubt contributes to better accuracy when shooting or aiming and helps in moving quicker while also avoiding accidentally hitting the wrong buttons.

This helps players aim better as they know how high a weapon goes from recoil when shooting in full auto or in single shots. As each gun has its own recoil pattern, this requires experimenting and practice in the game's Training mode. Even on mobile where recoil has been a bit reduced, it's still enough to throw off the aim of players leading to inaccurate shots.

A lot of PUBG mobile players forget about the firing mode of a weapon and instead use it how they found it(usually in full auto). Players on the other platforms are always careful about their fire mode as it can affect accuracy and recoil significantly. Switch to single fire for long range shots, burst for mid-range shots and full auto for close range shots. This would make the weapon easier to control in any combat situation and is one of the easiest ways players can shoot better.

For sniping or long-range shots, depending on the player's dominant hand, one thumb should be placed on one fire button for shooting while the other should be used to move the camera. This is especially important for enemies that start moving when getting shot. When shooting or sniping enemies on the move, if stationary, move the camera instead as it's faster in keeping pace with the enemy than trying to move the character. In close quarters, it's preferable to move your character while firing especially because some enemies shoot in a straight line. The two fire buttons really come in handy as enemies can show up in from any direction. Sometimes players would have to fire while moving their character. Other times, the situation calls for firing while moving only the camera, thereby the players aim. Shooting better comes down to determining, on the spot, which of these two ways is best to shoot. A third way for experts is to do both, taking a momentary pause is either moving the character or firing the weapon to aim.

As with everything, practice makes perfect. Players familiar with playing on the console can easily carry over the aiming and shooting mechanics from other shooter games. Newer players are going to have a hard time aiming but that can be sorted out with practice and experimenting. Playing PUBG on mobile can actually be easier and more convenient than other platforms, just the way the developers intended it.

The AKM is an assault rifle in PUBG Mobile. It is often used by experienced players and pros. However, its recoil makes it difficult to use, which made a lot of players afraid of it's recoil, akm is best used spraying in close range or single tapping like a DMR in mid to long range because of it's high damage and high recoil.
