New Chocolatey product alpha releases available

Hello!

We’ve just released new prerelease alpha versions of 3 of the 5 main Chocolatey products:

• Chocolatey CLI v2.1.0-alpha-20230608 - https://docs.chocolatey.org/en-us/choco/release-notes#alpha-20230608-june-8-2023
• Chocolatey Licensed Extension v6.1.0-alpha-20230608 - https://docs.chocolatey.org/en-us/licensed-extension/release-notes#alpha-20230608-june-8-2023
• Chocolatey GUI v2.1.0-alpha-20230608 - https://docs.chocolatey.org/en-us/chocolatey-gui/release-notes#alpha-20230608-june-8-2023

These are alpha releases for a new minor version of each product.

Notable changes in these releases include:

• These are prerelease packages, and it is NOT recommended for use on a production system
• Address feedback from the recent major releases of Chocolatey products

If you are interested in trying out the prerelease versions of the commercial Chocolatey products, then please reach out to the support team, as they will be able to provide download and installation instructions.

Run the `choco support` command for more information on how to reach out to support.

The main focus of these releases was addressing some issues from the recent major releases of the Chocolatey products. For example, a performance problem was identified when running commands, such as choco outdated. In addition, problems were reported regarding the package version normalization which was introduced in version 2.0.0 of Chocolatey CLI.
