NoMa Summer Screen: The Italian Job
The Italian Job is playing at NoMa Summer Screen on Wednesday, June 12. Come out to the Loree Grand Field at Second and L Streets, NE to connect with friends, coworkers, and family under the stars. Bring a picnic, cooler, Frisbee, blanket, and your friendly (leashed) dog. Popped! Republic, Goodies Frozen Ice Cream & Custard, Doug the Food Dude, and Something Stuffed will all be serving up your favorite culinary delights. The film starts at sunset, and the fun starts at 7 p.m. All movies are screened with subtitles. Come early for raffles – this week the audience has the chance to win two tickets to Thievery Corporation. NoMa Summer Screen is hosted by Toll Brothers Apartment Living. Rhythm in NoMa Lunchtime Concert
Ten Feet Tall will play the first Rhythm in NoMa lunchtime concert on Friday, June 14. Enjoy this funk concert, your summer Fridays, and the courtyard at Union Center Plaza (810-840 First Street, NE) from 11:30 a.m. -1:30 p.m. every Friday now through August 2 (except there will be NO CONCERT on July 5). Family Film Night
Now in its third year, the NoMa BID sponsors Family Film Night at Sursum Corda, where families and children gather for free family-centric movies (also fitting the ‘Outlaw Hero’ theme) and free food. The first Family Film Night of the summer will be on Tuesday, June 18 with a showing of How to Train Your Dragon. The movies will be held in Sursum Corda in the plaza at L and First Streets, NW. July 4th Bash
Face painting, music, moon bounces, balloons, food trucks, games, and more will be at the Loree Grand Field on Second & K Streets, NE on July 4, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Dress to impress - there will be a parade at 6 p.m. Awards will be given to the best decorated bicycle, tricycle, 4-wheeler (wagon), and dog. There will be a station with materials for children to decorate their bicycles, create hats, and unleash their inner artist.
