We hope you all join us for NoMa’s biggest (and may I say most fun) of the year, PUMPKINPALOOZA! Bring your family, invite a friend, or join your coworkers and head to the corner of Pierce and First Street NE to decorate one of 800 pumpkins we'll be giving away (tools will be provided). Take your children to the face-painting booth and snap photos of them with the cuddly animals in the petting zoo. Red Bear Brewing will be hosting a dog costume competition (more details below), so start working on your pup's outfit today. Feeling strong? Sponsor, Advantage Financial Credit Union will have lots of spooky crafts for fit for every age! Stop by Orangetheory Fitness Union Market’s booth for festive fitness competitions. All while the King Street Bluegrass Band fills the air with music.
A big thank you to Harris Teeter, which will provide free seasonal snacks for everyone. And if you're hungrier than that, there will also be food trucks with great dining options.
Other important things to note:
- Please reserve a spot by registering for the event so we can set aside a pumpkin for you. Only one pumpkin is allowed per person. The event begins at 4:00 p.m., and reserved pumpkins will be held until 5:00 PM before they are released to other attendees. We are only able to give away one pumpkin per person that is in attendance, so if you register for more pumpkins than there are guests in your party, we will hold the extra pumpkins until the rest of your group arrives. If we find duplicate registrations, we'll delete all but one.
- Parents, please ensure your children are supervised at all times.
- Dogs are more than welcome, but they must be well-behaved and on a leash.
- In case of inclement weather, event programming will be canceled, but we will still give away the pumpkins!
- DOG COSTUME COMPETITION - Stop by the judging table between 4-6 PM to submit your pup into the competition. Awards will be given out on stage at 6:30 PM.
