Rowan University is a comprehensive state-designated research institution with approximately 14,000 students. Its main campus is located in Glassboro, N.J., 20-miles southeast of Philadelphia, and it has a branch campus and medical school in Camden and a second medical school in nearby Stratford. Rowan is only the second university in the country to offer M.D. and D.O. medical-degree granting programs. Information Analyst / Security specialist in the Division of Information Resources & Technology (IR&T), Analytics, Systems & Applications (ASAp), Department of Information Systems Support (ISS), Information Security and Workflows Administration. Support setting up and maintaining user security for the University’s Ellucian Banner System, an Enterprise Resource Planning [ERP] System, and certain ancillary systems. Assist other team analysts in support of Banner Workflows. Some evening, weekend, and holiday work is required.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting systems / applications / processes to which assigned by setting up and maintaining security of systems providing technical support to University offices by performing work of intermediate difficulty using established policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
- Preparing security reports.
- Assisting Workflow Analysts in working on assigned projects utilizing provided specifications, (specs). May include providing assistance in coding, testing, and/or implementing workflows to accommodate business practices that are not delivered in the standardized Ellucian software solution.
- Undertaking problem resolution by working with unit personnel, other University staff, and vendor teams to address / resolve issues that arise.
- Utilizing request, problem and issue tracking software.
- Completing self-study, classroom training, and/or working with other Analytics, Systems & Applications (ASAp) staff to improve personal and unit specific technical skills.
