Simulation Panel Advanced Drivers: neXt Generation. SPAD.neXt is a replacement software for Saitek Flight Simulation Panels and other hardware. While most provide drivers for their panels, these have several shortcomings.
Hi Eric, Still using and loving your FlightMap software, definitely the BEST out there. As for the Saitek panels. I am running latest computer with latest windows 10. I do have 1 usb 2 port but not using that as I have the saitek panels, all 5 (yoke, throttle, switch panel, Radio Panel, Multi Panel) plugged into a hub running on usb3 port BUT I use SPAD.NET in ADMINISTRATOR mode, which removes the hid usb control of windows re the power supply control.
Hello Everyone, So i just built a new FSX computer with Windows 7 64. I installed new updated drivers for all my Saitek gear (Multi Panel, Switch Panel, Radio Panel, Throttle Quadrant) and everythings working well, except my switch panel. It works fine on the test page, everything doing what its supposed to, but when I load a flight, its like the wires literally get crossed inside the thing! The Engine Start knob turns the avionics on and off, The Avionics switch turns Master on/off, fuel pump works about half the time, usually have to flip it 2-3X just to get it to switch on or off. And only half of the light switches work, panel lights will flash for a millisecond, but not stay on. I have redownloaded and reinstalled drivers several times, moved the switch panel to various WORKING usb ports (NO hubs at all) and tried launching the plugin manually from the Saitek folder. Any Thoughts? I'm running FSX Acceleration SP2 with GEX, REX, UTX, and FSG, FS Flying School 2010, . My system specs are: AMD Phenom II 955 OC'D to 3.4GHZAsus m4a785T moboxfx Radeon 6790 OC'd to 875/1100Windows 7 HP 64bit4gb G Skill DDR2 800 dual channelWD Caviar Black 640 GB Apevia 700w PSU Thanks! Definately go with the SPAD drivers. I had nothing but issues with my Saitek gear with panels not working, freezing, etc. until I installed the SPAD drivers. Now I don't have anymore issues. One other thing you may need to look at is Power. I had to purchase an externally powered USB hub, as with all my Saitek gear, some of my Saitek stuff wouldn't start because I was draining too much power on my USB ports.
Hi, I use the switch panel with win7 64 and it works great using the saitek drivers. I used Spad for awhile but had issues. I would raise the gear and the engine would shut off. A few other issues too. SPAD is being rewritten, but not sure when it will be done. Bob
Yea, I was using SPAD when flying FS9 but for FSX I have been using Saitek drivers. They seem to work fine with the exception of the BIP panel. It will have long freeze-us and/or crash when using in conjunction with TrackIR. Been reported. Several other cases been reported seeing the same thing. (Mmmm... not sure if SPAD handles the BIP panel, may need to look into that). Clutch
Hi guys, Thanks for all the replies. Clutch, your suggestion worked great. It was the fs9 driver that was screwing it up. as soon as I moved it to a generic folder on my desktop the switch panel worked perfectly. I'm still going to check out those SPAD drivers though, thanks for the suggestion. -Cheers-
hello all: im having the same problem with the switch panel. it loads but the switches turn on / off different functions , not the ones they are supposed to.i have tried to download an updated driver since im using windows ultimate 7 64 win, but the site at saitek will not download the driver.once fsx is open i open the administrador tool : cntrl, alt, delete and i look at the process tab , there i see the following : sai panels .exe with description " sai panels " and anotherone that says sai switch panel with description pro flight. i dont know what to do to get this thing going. i have all the other panels except bip and 1 instrument panel, they work fine. my computer is as follows:amd pehnom II x 6 1090tmsi 614-p33 mother with 8 gb ramvideo card : msi n 550gtx -TI cyclone II 1gd5/oc950mhz core1024mb gddr5 4300mhz memorycooler master 1000w power supplywindows ultimate 64 bit please help!! thank you , kind regards Leo96
Hello again all:I was fooling around with my pc and decided to delete the driver that came with the switch panel. i remember that when i bought this panel i also bought other ones . i dont remember if it was in the radio or multi panle box, but there is a driver for all panels. so really it is not necessary to install all oiof them , i guess thyey override eachother. even at the saitek site, they mention that if you have win 7 its most probable that the panel will recognized. as simple as that. the panel is now working and the swicthes do what they have to.but there is one more thing , when i begin a free flight , my switch panel is off but , when all the data is oaded , im either at the gate or at the runway, the engine is on, the lights are off the knobe for the engine is off but the engine is running . is this still a switch panel problem , a setting problem , or it just works like this. sorry i got this a few weeks ago and im new at this, but i dont think that the flight either if you are at the gate or runway the engines should aalready be on.any help ??thanksregardsleo96
Hi i am also having problems with my saitek pro flight switch panel, I have loaded all the drivers but when im in FSX it doesn't recognize it as a controller and when im flying the only thing that works is the fuel pump switch and the landing gear. I have tested it using the test application they give you and it all works fine. If any one could help me i would be very grateful.
Maybe someone has had this happen. I have the Saitek X52 Pro and the Pro Yoke systems connected and working great. I recently purchased the Saitek Switch box but when I use it with the other saitek controls when I exit and change planes and or relocate I crash fsx usually with a g3d.dll error. Payware, default and freeware aircraft no difference. The switch Box works fine except for that. Have tried SPAD and Saitek Software/drivers. Here is what Have done:
I brought the saitek radio unit in December of last year. It was working perfectly the whole time. I purchased the multi panel yesterday. I downloaded the latest drivers as instructed. I ran the system. Then I noticed that the transponder section of my radio stack is blank. I uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled. The multi panel works perfectly... but now the radio stack is completely blank! The radio test causes the panel to light up but the dials do not respond. I was told I could probably solve the problem by installing an older version of the current saitek drivers for the radio stack. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can remedy this situation?
Not really a reply but a request for a bit of information. I'm trying to install the saitek radio panel on fsx steam (ios is windows 10). I don't have an installation disc and csn't find any drivers online. Do i only need to install the fsx plug in? I don't have spad or fsuipc (?), just the fsx steam. Any help massively appreciated - really easy steps please as i'm pretty new to all this. Some learning curve!!
Your dilemma with the Saitek/Logitech radio panel, switch panel, and multi-panel drivers sounds challenging, but let's try to iron out this situation one step at a time. The root of your problem seems to revolve around the driver software not properly ...
Hey guys. Does anyone know how to setup the Saitek switch panel and radio in FSX Steam? I just bought the flight yoke, trim wheel, throttle quadrant, rudder pedals, switch panel and radio panel. I can setup everything in FSX except the panels. I've downlo...
I have a full cockpit, but in order to get the Switch, Multi, and Radio panels to work at all I needed to run a third party package called Spad.I'm running win10...went up to win11 that I discovered is plagued with driver issues and went back to 10......
The drivers do include a graphical test program to verify connectivity of all switches, rotaries, and displays. Also included is a link to start the Saitek-FSX plugin if it does not start automatically for any reason.
The switches on the panel are plastic rockers and have a nice, solid snap when used. The rotary starter switch has good positive indents, but does not spring back from the START position to BOTH/ALL as expected. The landing gear switch is short-throw and works very well. The landing gear lights work exactly as in the real aircraft with dual color red/green LEDs.
