I have just noticed that any of the apps that used to have fingerprint login enabled works anymore (banking apps, health care apps too). I have filled a bug report to Google, am I the only one who has this problem ? I can still unlock the phone with fingerprint though.

Up until earlier today, I was able to log in to the Android app using my fingerprint. I then had reason to use my master password via the web site, found that..... I have forgotten it (despite having been convinced it was so brilliantly chosen that I would never forget it!) and ended up getting my account temporarily suspended. To my horror though, when I next tried to use the app, I found that the option to use my fingerprint had vanished. So I now have no way back into the app. If I could magically re-enable logging in with my fingerprint, at least I'd have access to the content of the database.

When the LastPass app is fully closed (such as if the device is restarted or the app is closed/crashed) or if your settings in the LastPass app are set so that you are automatically logged out after a certain amount of time, this will force you to log in to the LastPass app again with your username and master password--you can only use your fingerprint to unlock the app once it's been signed in to with your username and master password.

I have a OnePlus 6 phone running Android 11 (Oxygen 11.1.2.2). Biometrics does not work to log in, neither is it consistent with my security settings. When viewing the password on my passwords information, sometimes I need to use my fingerprint and other times I can view the password straight away, even though the setting is that I always need to use a fingerprint.

With an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus or later, you can use Touch ID to make Apple Pay purchases in stores, within apps, and on websites in Safari. You can also use Touch ID on your iPhone to complete website purchases with your Mac. If you have an iPad Pro, iPad Air 2 or later, iPad (5th generation) or later, or iPad mini 3 or later, you can use Touch ID for Apple Pay purchases within apps and on websites in Safari.

No, because apps do not register fingerprints on their own - instead apps can ask the user to use one of the unlock mechanisms of the device before cerain transactions are allowed. However the unlock mechanism is not just there for the app but always for the device itself.

However, when waking the phone by pressing the power button, it will nonetheless attempt to read the fingerprint, unless you disable the setting: Fingerprint Unlock Behaviour. If you turn that off, then you can unlock the phone by first pressing the power button and then swiping up from the bottom of screen.

Just remember - this does not disable fingerprint recognition, just the first press of the power button will not unlock the device. But as soon as you touch the power button with the display activated, the fingerprint will still be recognized to unlock the phone.

Anyway, I have an issue which is bugging the hell out of me now. Prior to update, I had one finger print scanned on my device, this was used for logging into banking apps alongside various other apps.

Since update I now get met with an error message which tells me that "fingerprints have changed" and that I must confirm if I am the only user of the phone with fingerprints stored. Hmmm ok, well I am the only user and yes just my fingerprint, nothing has changed except for this bloody update.

So I thought I'll just uninstall ALL my banking apps and re-install them again alongside removing my fingerprint and redoing the set up again. This "seemed" to work all was good for about 4 days and it has started all over again!!!!

Since this recent update my Nationwide banking app is not working, the fingerprint doesn't work & I've deletedd & changed fingerprints, uninstalled & reinstalled app numerous times, even tried to log in not using fingerprint & done a soft reset & nothing is working.

However I've had an email from HSBC advising due to the recent fingerprint scanner vulnerability on the S10 and N10 phones they have advised to not use a fingerprint right now i.e disable it myself in my app settings and they are sending out an app update to temporarily remove the option to access their app via a fingerprint until Samsung send out a patch and they've tested it themselves.

The phone itself recognizes my fingerprint but apps do not. Although I do have fingerprints registered in the phone, when trying to use fingerprints with apps I get a message saying no fingerprints have been set up yet and to set them up and them try again. I have added and deleted fingerprints multiple times, rebooted repeatedly and spend a lot of time several times with Samsung support to no avail. I see this has been a problem with other users. Does anyone have a solution?

KeePass is a Windows program. All KeePass compatible apps for android are developed and maintained by other developers. You need to contact the developer of the particular android app you are using for information. Though I know nothing about the app you are using, I suggest you look for a setting in the android app that enables fingerprint unlocking.

Important: Make sure you backup (write down and keep in a safe place) your database master key. You may get permanently locked out of your database if you rely on fingerprint unlocking but don't know the database master key.

There is a setting within the Keepass app for biometric unlock. When I click on it I get the attached message. I don't know what any of it means. I have this app on my Note 9 and it works perfectly with my fingerprint, as do all my other apps. I have the Keepass file on several devices so it's essentially backed up. Thanks.

Keepass2Android Online version works fine with my fingerprint. I did find it will not work if the face recognition is also set, so I got rid of the face recognition. K2A online does ask a couple of questions to get the correct permissions, but is worked flawlessly for me unless there was facial recognition enabled.

Nope. I have a motor g power 2021. Using Android 11. It is important to figure out what program you are using on your phone. Keepass does not have an Android app. Many others have created apps compatible with the windows Keepass and they can sync a database across devices. Some like Keepass2Android Online are very very good. Some not.

I also use fingerprint unlocking and I have the latest version of the app installed, and I don't have any issues with it either. I don't have face recognition on my phone but fingerprint unlocking has worked flawlessly for years now. For what it's worth I use it on an old Samsung Galaxy S7 phone (no face recognition, no "Ultra", no "5G", old but works well).

Make sure you have granted access to "Use fingerprint hardware" for this app. I would also suggest disabling face recognition temporarily if you have it enabled to see if that solves the issue. As a last resort, if you have multiple backup copies of your database and they are recently updated, and you know your master password, I would suggest reinstalling the app or at very least clearing its data and cache storage.

The screenshot indicates a crash. I doubt there is much you can do to fix the problem. I recommend you abandon the Android2KeePass fingerprint option until/unless Phillip has some suggestions, or issues a new release.

I started using the paid version of SFOS 4.1.0.24 on an Xperia XA2 just a few days ago. I want it to replace Android, provided all essential apps are working for me. Most things are looking fine so far, except one thing that I was unable to get working: Three of my favourite Android apps (banking, password manager) support unlocking with the fingerprint sensor when installed on pure Android (LineageOS, to be precise), but apparently not when installed on SFOS using the Android app compatibility layer. Hence my question: Is there a way to get this working? Or am I missing the obvious?

My first toe dip into drivers a few years ago resulted in learning about fingerprints. At that time, most devices you assigned a generic driver and prayed you'd get lucky.
As the device market exploded and numerous branches evolved - zigbee vs zigbee 3, zwave, zwave+, BT, Wifi, and then companies like Tuya showed up and made the same device with 20 names for oem's... it seems to me managing drivers based on whether a dev has decided to add a fingerprint to a driver seems antique.
An app would be perfect to handle the fingerprint and driver assignments.
Since the basics of a fingerprint are easy to munge out, all thats left is a recommended driver list.

My thought is to create an app (He or external) that tables up the fingerprint data, then assigns a list of drivers that work with it. Weighted, based on user feedback, to evolve over time.
As drivers come and go, improve, the DB would be a feed to any/all drivers that want to hook its api and pass the info from DB to driver without the driver having to manage it.
The app could also track specific capabilities of devices as well as subset data.

Below is a location search where Live Scan fingerprinting services are available to the public. This search is updated as additional information is received. However, applicants are encouraged to contact the Live Scan providers in advance to verify their current operating hours, fees, etc.

If your agency/business would like to be included in the Attorney General's Website search of Public Applicant Live Scan Sites, please send your request by e-mail to: livesca...@doj.ca.gov. Your information will be posted within 30 days after your Private Service Provider application is approved. The process to become a Private Service Provider will take 8 to 12 weeks from receipt of a complete and accurate application. This time frame does not include obtaining your fingerprint roller certificate.
