Vlož mi do srdce pravé otázky Než otevřeš evangelium, pokaždé se ptej, na kterou otázku chce Ježíš právě odpovědět. A potom pros: „Pane, vlož mi ty otázky do srdce! Dej, ať si kladu správné otázky.“ Ježíš dává svou odpověď lidem, kteří si kladou správné otázky. Když evangelium přestává dávat světu odpovědi, může to být právě tím, že si svět neklade správné otázky. Tak se svět třeba ptá: „Co dělat, abych do čtyřiceti vydělal tolik a tolik set tisíc dolarů?“ U nás jsou tím lidé přímo posedlí. Ježíš nám ale říká, že je to falešná otázka. Říká nám, že je to naprostá lež a že to všechno je pomíjivé. Dokud neproniknete hlouběji do Ježíšova způsobu kladení otázek, vždycky se budete dotazovat špatným směrem. A bude to tím horší, že se to bude tvářit zbožně.

If the Gospel is not an answer to the world anymore, it’s perhaps because the world is not asking the right questions. The world is saying, How can I be making $00,000 by the time I’m forty? Our country is obsessed with that question. Yet Jesus says it’s a false question. He in fact says it’s an utter lie, and it’s all going to pass away.
