Katolický pohled na svět: proces Na zdech katolických kostelů najdeme čtrnáct zastavení. Je to dobrá teologie procesu. Je zde pohyb, jsou tu stadia a fáze: nejprve se musí stát toto, pak musíš projít tímto; na cestě musíš setrvat ve všech stadiích a vztazích. Sama cesta bude tvým učitelem. Elizabeth Kübler-Ross nebyla první, kdo objevil stadia smutku a umírání. Poprvé to bylo objeveno na křížové cestě, a ta byla uvnitř každého katolického kostela. Ve skutečnosti s tím začali františkáni. Jako františkáni jsme si řekli, že v tvém životě bude zkušenost odsouzení, zkušenost soudu, zkušenost zrady. Pak tu bude chvíle, kdy nakonec budeš muset konat jeho vůli, nikoli tu svou. Když se o to pokusíš, pak na cestě přinejmenším třikrát upadneš. Pravděpodobně daleko víckrát. Bůh ti ale pošle lidi, jako jsou Šimon z Kyrény, Veronika, Marie a plačící dcery jeruzalémské. Bůh ti dá přátele, kteří tě budou podporovat. Taková je teologie procesu. Není to nějaká statická teologie, v níž bohužel někteří z nás vyrostli – hra na způsob: smrtelný hřích – jsem „mimo“ – jdu ke zpovědi – jsem zas „in“. Teologie „na knoflík“ se od zdravého, bohatého katolicismu velice liší.

It’s movement, stages and phases: First this has to happen, then you have to go through that; you have to remain on the path in all its stages and relationships. The path itself will be your teacher. We said, there is going to be an experience of condemnation in your life, an experience of judgment, an experience of betrayal. There’s going to be a time where you’ll finally have to do his will, not your own. When you try to do it, you’re going to fall at least three times. Probably a lot more than that. But God is going to give you people like Simon of Cyrene, Veronica, Mary and the weeping daughters of Jerusalem. God is going to give you friends who will support you. That’s process theology. It’s not the static theology some of us unfortunately grew up with, the game of: mortal sin, I’m out; ’ go to confession, I’m in.
