Ať ke mně pronikne skutečnost Mnozí naši lidé si pro sebe vytvářejí své trvale udržované štěstíčko – uprostřed tolika veřejného utrpení. Takový stav spočívá na iluzi o povaze skutečnosti. Může to fungovat jedině tehdy, když se do určité míry před touto realitou zahradí. Říkáme tomu „zapírání“. Křesťan ale vytrvale říká: „Přijď, Pane Ježíši.“ Jinými slovy: „Ať ke mně pronikne plná skutečnost, kosmický Kristus, všechno co skutečně existuje.“ Vtělení je odmítnutím všeho zapírání. Je to Bůh, který všemu tomu zabahněnému, špinavému, neúplnému a bezmocnosti toho všeho říká své „ano“.

The Christian, though, is always saying, “Come, Lord Jesus.” In other words, “Let reality get at me, the full reality, the Cosmic Christ, all that is.” The Incarnation is the refusal of all denial.
