Tina's big birthday garage nite and crib warming

I’m inviting ALL of my friends to come hangout and see my new Barbie Dream Coach House on Wednesday July 5^th.  My actual birthday is the 3^rd.    Doors open at 7pm.  We’ll be here into the next morning.

 

I’m usually not much of a birthday person and getting presents sometimes makes me uncomfortable.  If giving presents makes you uncomfortable I get you and I’m pleased to receive a hug and a kind word and to know we are on the same wave length with the gift as expression of affection.  If you are someone who gets good feels from giving gifts by all means bring me some booze of the bourbon, rye, sake, cider forms.  If you have some outdoor art you can’t put in the alley we can put that in one of my rentals.  Vinyl with music encoded on it of any sort is also well received in this parts.

 

There is a grocery store across the street and I’ll have a grill going so show up and see what is needed and we’ll all eat well.

 

While I’m up here with a live mic I want to put my gender status up on the list.  As most of you know by now I started living as my true self last year.  I’m transgender, specifically of the non-binary, gender fluid flavor.  I don’t plan to completely medically transition.  It’s OK to ask me questions, I’ll let you know if I feel a question is too personal.   Unless we are doing dinner and a movie I don’t want to talk about anyone’s genitals with you.  If all these new  terms are confusing that means you are paying attention.  Here’s some links:

I shared with my kids in June of 2016 and they were completely OK and supportive.  They tell me I’m a lot less angry than ever before.  When I started telling my VinMoto friends I expected some fall out.  I feel humbled and grateful that I was wrong.  You grease balls have been the most loving friends a gal could ever imagine.  The kind words have been a true source of strength.

 

Here is my ask:  It feels a little like I’ve been test driving my name and pronouns so from here on out I’m asking everybody to use Tina, She,Her,Hers or They, Them, Theirs.  I get that some of you are going to slip.  Just say sorry and correct yourself.  In as much as I’m non-binary I don’t feel like I need to kill my assigned at birth name, but it isn’t what I want to hear.  So anytime anyone can think of a new title to replace The Ricktator let it rip.

 

And one more executive privilege.  In violation of my own rules let’s let this post go OFF TOPIC.  Feel free to post questions, fears, jeers, hate, love, funny stories, what ever you want.

See y'all there if the weather's good.. .. .. or not.  I'm gonna get my words in ahead of time, as well as challenge anybody to bring a better bottle of Sake than me... .. .

If Tina and I were to have a child when we met, that kid would be having a quinceañera this year. I had searched for a moto-community to call home for years before I stumbled into ChiVin - I had just moved to the city, and found this thing that Tina crated to be the right vehicle for navigating the underbelly of this multi-faceted beast.  

Through the years of selfless leadership of this VinMoto thing, I've always looked up to Tina as a model of engaged citizenship, and a 2-wheeled mentor who took my M2M virginity and led me to my first win, and inspired me to at least 3 more 'podium' finishes.   Tina has fetched me out of the weeds multiple-times, and allowed me to be a wing-man on many Americana adventures.  I vividly remember the time we walked into a bar in Winona, MN at 2AM - everybody looked at each other as if to say - I thought we were all here - in my mind I could hear a pin-drop before the music picked back up and everybody continued on their path to the evening's enlightenment.   

I could write more paragraphs, but who's going to read it.  It seems like just yesterday, I attended a party where we brought 45's, now we're breaking the speed limit.  I have a life-long friend who has my back, and I'll have hers - it's that simple.

Thanks for loaning the XT Tina. The speed wobbles once I hit 80mph chasing Brady where exciting. Made it back home in one piece though. Hopefully the new/old coils from Matt will get the CB sorted 🤞
