Just had a conversation today with my son Joe. He's at TekMill in Champaign, IL. He says it is so difficult to find CNC operators, and when he does, the work ethic drives him to distraction...Good luck. The trades are hurting for good employees.

Thanks for the replies. I’ll definitely try JARC. Thrown a pretty wide net so far with no luck. We may just train up one of our own if we don’t find someone with the experience we’re looking for.
Fingers crossed

I've been lucky enough to hire 2 pretty decent cnc operators in the past 2 months out in the west burbs, but it takes a lot of time. Now we are very close to purchasing our first Universal Robot and multi pallet horizontal to reduce the need.

In addition to JARC, there is BIR, Symbol, Instituto Del Pregresso, Harper, and some of the city colleges that might be able to refer students to your opening. We've also poached good young people from auto parts places and culver's, who has a strong job training program and puts out some good workers.

The company I work for is looking for a manufacturing engineer and experienced cnc machinists for mills and lathes so if anybody knows someone looking, let me know.

Best of luck

Davin
