Giuliari Seats

Anyone hear of these?
Anyone ever have one?
Here's a pic:

About 13 years ago, a friend of mine had one of these on his KZ1000,
I thought it was the coolest looking seat, and still do.
I have seen a few on ebay that were well used and needing re-covering,
all selling for way to much.
I've finally tracked down a new, never used one.
Before I go sending way to much money half way around the globe, I
wanted to post here to see if anyone has any experience with them.
Or, ultimately, if someone has one they'd like to sell.

(And yes, I've seen them for other bikes as well)

Giuliari was one of the many seat manufacturers in Italy starting in the
50s or 60s. They made stock seats for many of the small cafe-style bikes
like MV, Ducati, Gilera, Benelli, as well as Vespa.

They only went out of business in the last 10 years.

It would make sense that they made aftermarket seats for Japanese bikes
and others, but I haven't seen many around.

Those are kinda hard to find, highly sought after seats. Chad had one
on a CB350Four over at Ace on Jackson. People love them. I'd get it if
I were you, you're unlikely to find another new one any time soon.

That looks exactly like the seat Ken Kales had on his CB750. He got it when he
was a buyer at Warshawskys. It was in the Warshawskys catalog for a while. Ken
has some great stories about working there.

My search for a giuliari seat led me to have a custom seat built, because the giuliari seats i found were very expensive and I had a hard time finding them in the first place. I had Jon Revilla (president of the CNOC) build me a seat kind of in this style and I'm picking it up tonight. I think it is going to be pretty awesome and I would definitely recommend Jon to anyone that needs a seat. I"ll have my seat on the bike at the Rumble if anyone wants to check it out. The cool thinkg about doing a custom seat in this style is that you can pick your own leather and you can use new foam that isn't already thirty or more years old. You can also use a stock seat pan so you still have the seat lock and hinges.

Plus a million on having Jon do a seat for you...Right now Jon has 2 of my motorcycle seats and is doing a foam for another and some other upholstery work he's doing for me. Plus he'll get the job when we do the seat in my '52 Chevy pick up and the interior in my nephews '47 Nash. I highly recommend him.
He's easily reached @ 1-630-650-6002.
