MULTICULTURAL & DIVERSITY AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR
If you have a passion for community, multicultural awareness and advocacy, Multicultural and Diversity Affairs is looking for you! MCDA is currently recruiting for summer
and fall ambassadors and looking for students who are interested in enhancing UF’s commitment to diversity and social justice.
MCDA Ambassadors are responsible for greeting guests, administrative or clerical tasks, and assisting in the creation and implementation of MCDA programs and services. Administrative,
marketing and programming positions are also available.

MISSION STATEMENT
Multicultural & Diversity Affairs promotes an inclusive campus community by creating environments in which students learn about themselves and diverse
others, engage in meaningful inter- and intra-cultural dialogue, and enhance their leadership and commitment to social justice.
A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST…
- Be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate (minimum of 12 credits) student
-
Be available to work the minimum number of hours (4 for volunteer, 8 work study)
- Maintain a 2.5 cumulative G.P.A. Should an ambassador's quarterly or cumulative G.P.A. fall below a 2.5, it is understood that he or she
will meet with their supervisor and agree on an action plan to bring up their G.P.A.
- Not be found responsible for significant or repeated violations of University Code of Student Conduct.
- Commit to participate in staff training and attend all regularly scheduled staff meetings.
- Work study applicants must also demonstrate work study allotment by providing a copy of their work study permit.

- Students from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply, however preference will be given to first year students (freshmen or transfer students),
students with Federal Work Study, and/or students with marketing skills.
- All applicants
MUST meet the minimum 2.5 GPA requirement.
- Applicants selected for interviews will be interviewed on
Monday, April 2 from 5:30-8:30PM and move on to 2nd round of interview sometime between
Wednesday, April 4, 2012 to Friday, April 6, 2012.
- Applicants selected to serve as MCDA Ambassadors
MUST attend staff orientation on August 25-26, 2012.
