Hi Monwabisi

Do you have plans to migrate the modules repository in Subversion to GitHub?

I think I will have to continue with this some time this morning, it's been hours already and I need to get some rest.

After "successfully" cloning modules from svn (which took the whole night), I ended up with an empty repository, there are no folders in the git copy of modules.

these are the instructions I'm following: http://thomasrast.ch/git/git-svn-conversion.html
I don't know what to do at this stage.

Speak to Prince. He did the original.

My Last attempt tonight, then I guess you will have to make the call. I love having Chisimba around as something I can work on while improving my coding, so I am trying my best to port it to github (using the links Prince sent me)  so I can continue development on there.

Or I can just do a checkout without all the history (which is very simple)

Dr Keats please confirm.

Well, I guess it is up to you now. I have said I am going to stop working with Chisimba, though I have to admit, after a few days with Joomla I realise that it is just not in Chisimba's league at all. Not even close.

The reason for keeping the history is that it started as a research project, and the idea was to analyse the code base. If you import it without the history, this will not be possible. It would be nice to be able to keep the Gource graphs.

Hi,

I am still committing modules and canvases to the subversion repository as I have no idea where we are with GIT and the sites I need to update are still running subversion. We need to coordinate this so as not to create a mess.

thanks
