The CF-Auto-Root file is available only for the SM-N915G, SM-N915P, and SM-N915R4 variants for the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow firmware. For the rest of the devices, they are either still running on Android 5.1 Lollipop or the CFAR files are not yet updated to support Android M. Hence for rest of the devices check out the second method using TWRP and SuperSU. Soon the CFAR files may show up for other variants as well. So stay tuned. This procedure is simple and will help you root your device with ease. If you are just looking just for root and not a custom recovery, then all you need to do is download the CFAR file from below and flash it via Odin software and add the CFAR into AP. hi! i have galaxy tab 2 p5113 not rooted. i ran an update now it is stuck on samsung logo screen. if i go into recovery mode it gets to 25% and then dies with red triangle. it does go into download mode. u think this could fix my tablet. if i root and install cwm.
+chainfire slight issue: Updated my mtk clone running 4.2 through the play store. It installed, supersu and said the binary needed updating, so I said ok, and chose "normal method", as I always did in the past. It reported 'failed' and supers dumped out. I tried a couple more times, got the same results. So I tried the cwm/twrp method. It rebooted to recovery, flashed the update.zip, then my recovery warned me I had no root access any more. I.e. no su binary, and prompted me to fix it (I use carliv touch recovery). I said no, rebooted, and supersu also reported no su binary. So I said screw it all, downloaded the flashable zip, uninstalled supersu, booted to recovery and installed it. Which lead me to a bootloop. I have never had this before. I wish I saved a log or two, but my last nandroid is about a month old, and I was quite passed at myself for not making one before this, so I just restored without thinking and I have 68 package updates to go on my phone. Just wanted to report an issue. Maybe later I'll try updating the supersu package again and send you a log if I have the problem again.
Chainfire, I have downloaded the CF auto root for the samsung m919 and i get an alert that in order to extract the zip folder there has to be a file to extract. is there another link to download the cf auto root to be used with odin
For those who are having problems updating to 4.4.4 use,Cyanogenmod 11 download to device and download to computer, turn adp mode on,ptp, and clockwork mod, backup root.Pick stable" rom mod for beginners, or for the developers use the nightly , don't forget your debugging reports"...allow the the computer do the work, it should boot the device into twrp team recovery, beginners press reboot now, advanced users you know what to do....it should load up with a new load screen and it should update the system U.I. and firmware, thus same process is used for flashing but through the clockwork rom mod backup. Thank you.
In the description of this app (before it's downloaded) it says it's able to TEMPORARILY unroot; after I downloaded it, I looked under SETTINGS but the only option it gives is PERMANENT unroot. Do you have any other apps that can temporarily unroot my device? Thanks for your time.
The MSRT does not use an installer. Typically, when you run the MSRT, it creates a randomly named temporary directory on the root drive of the computer. This directory contains several files, and it includes the Mrtstub.exe file. Most of the time, this folder is automatically deleted after the tool finishes running or after the next time that you start the computer. However, this folder may not always be automatically deleted. In these cases, you can manually delete this folder, and this has no adverse effect on the computer.
Step 1 At first, connect your Samsung Galaxy device with computer and it will automatically download and install Samsung USB drivers. Download CF-Auto-Root zip and unzip it and we are now ready to start with the rooting process.

The Samsung Galaxy Note has been rooted by CF Auto Root.
Nikon recently introduced their SnapBridge technology on the D500. SnapBridge is an "always-on" connectivity feature that allows the camera to use a low-power bluetooth connection to send JPEGs to a smartphone/tablet, both automatically in realtime as photographs are taken and manually if the user prefers to select specific images to download. Most SnapBridge implementations including the one of the D500 also include WiFi capability to allow for faster download of a large batch of images from the camera. Fortunately this WiFi implementation is identical to the MTP implementation on previous Nikon bodies, which means it is compatible with Airnef. Unfortunately, Nikon only allows the WiFi on SnapBridge-enabled cameras to be activated through the SnapBridge app - Nikon removed the ability for users to manually turn on the WiFi from the camera. This means that in order to use Airnef with SnapBridge-featured cameras you must first use the SnapBridge app to activate the camera's WiFi, then intervene to have Airnef to connect to the camera's WiFi network before the SnapBridge app does. Here are instructions on how to do this for both the iOS and Android versions of the SnapBridge app:
