Chisel v3.5.0-RC2 has been released

We have released a major version release candidate of the various Chisel-related projects:

Please note that Chisel-Testers are end-of-life, v2.5 will be the last major release for this project. Please migrate to ChiselTest: https://github.com/ucb-bar/chisel-testers2#migrating-from-chisel-testers--iotesters. 

There is now a porting guide for upgrading from Chisel 3.4 to Chisel 3.5, see https://www.chisel-lang.org/chisel3/docs/appendix/upgrading-from-chisel-3-4.html. It is incomplete so please file issues with questions or feel free to contribute to this guide by creating pull requests against the file: https://github.com/chipsalliance/chisel3/blob/master/docs/src/appendix/upgrading-from-chisel-3-4.md.

There were many deprecated APIs removed between 3.5.0-RC1 and 3.5.0-RC2 (all removed APIs had been deprecated for a long time).

The goal is to release Chisel v3.5.0 by end-of-year or early January at the latest. As such we do not expect any more major or breaking changes. Please try out the new RC and let us know about any issues you face!
