Hello ChironFS team,
I would like to ask you what is the status of this nice file system.
I see, there is a stable 1.0 version. Is it really stable and ready
for production use?
Is the beta 1.1 version (that is quite old actually) better than 1.0
in terms of bugs fixed or performance, or it's only the ctl interface?
Our use case for ChironFS would be live-mirroring of (rare) file
system writes to NFS-mounted filesystem, while having all the reads
(that are often) done from local storage. This would allow us to
quickly re-enable the webservice based on user-uploaded files (in case
server dies) from the NFS server.
Reads can be really massive from time to time (a few hundreds files
accessed at a time, reaching disks' seek&read speed). Writes are just
a few per minute.
Would you then suggest using version stable 1.0, beta 1.1 or maybe
some other project?
Thank you in advance
