@Rumo That would be amazing, but doesnt work for me. I have to tab before ctrl + z. Annoying thing is that i only type in one direction, so sometimes i have to tab, and some times i dont have to. Is it a bug then?

You said ctrl z reverse the type actions, and when none is left, the event is propagated and goes to the last review. This does not work for me. If there is a type field, it auto focus on it and ctrl z doesnt undo the review for me

Anyway, the addon worked in an unexpected way. After assigning m_toolbox undo": "Alt+Z", ctrl + z worked in the windows again. Since i dont ever need to undo in the type box, i dont have to actually use alt + z. So its just like i disabled the ctrl z in the type field

Hello, is it possible in af designer to copy the last object and copy its distance that i moved?
like in illustrator, for example, i draw a circle, move to the side and press ctrl+d then the object and the movement is copied

I know its a late reply but i just search this today and this was the first site that appeared so i will reply for future users. duplicate on Affinity Designer is ctrl + J but it works better than illustrator if you have an object1 and use alt to duplicate you create object 2 if you keep alt pressed and you rotate the object2 if you press ctrl + J it will repeat that rotation and if you keep ctrl + J you will create a flower.

Can I make Ctrl + Shift + RMB the standard way I orbit without having to press Ctrl + Shift too? I really like being able to rotate around the cursor vs the other options under options view such as around Cplane ect. Any way to make it stick?

When I try to rotate my model with nothing selected and I rotate it 90deg, (like going from front to right view but just using rotate, the rotation point is approximately 300 units in front of both the center extents of the model and the origin. When I hold shift + control and then hit RMB to rotate it grabs the point the mouse was on to use as the rotation point, not the arbitrary 300 units in front of the model. Just wondering if i can set that as default without having to hold Shift+Control.

No command just right mouse button to spin the model around. To try to clarify further, open a model, any model. in perspective view rotate around it using right mouse button. now hold shift + ctrl and right mouse button and see how the behavior is different. I like the way it rotates when holding shift + ctrl and just want to make that default.

Hello - There is a difference if you start rotating (RMB) and then hold Shift or Ctrl-Shift while rotating - that locks things in a different way. That behavior is only available with that combo - start rotating and then while rotating, hold down Shift or Ctrl-Shift. Did I get it?

Hi - like @pascal wrote, the behavior that you like is only available with the Ctrl + Shift combination. The only other way of achieving what you like without that key combination is by setting the view target (with Zoom Target) to the point that you want to rotate the view around.

To me, it does what I want but it would be much more handy if it would work as suggested in first post
(simply rotating with one mouse button instaed doing zoom>choosing point and area> and only then rotating)

Dynamic Views should have a Find on Page text field. A ctrl+F search only covers what's visible on screen currently, which is useless if you have a lot of data and you need to scroll to find what you're looking for.

Dynamic view is extremely useful for providing secure access to the data, but it's really falls short with user experience with the lack of search functionality. Forcing a user to create filters to search for something in the data is a horrible user experience. Also, setting a filter only allows you to search for data in a specific column and not across the entire dynamic view.

I've found at least 3 specific requests for this feature, one going back over 4 years, and as a new user of Smartsheet it is very surprising to see that there is no global search function in dynamic view. Are they not able to figure out how to secure the underlying data in the dynamic view? What's the development challenge here?

For some reason baseline line does not seem to show up in report and consequently the dashboard. It would be really nice if you could implement the features that you are already doing for sheet also be available in reports.

I am fairly new to Juniper and am trying to configure an EX4200 switch on the oob interface using putty ssh and noticed some strange behaviour and I am trying to figure out if it is a JunOS bug or something else.

I was using the show command to verify the configuration on the switch and accidentally pushed the "e" key during the output which prompted the "match except:" option. So I pressed ctrl+c to abort and then enter to return to the commandline. now 10 seconds later (or more - timeframe seems to be random) the CLI freezes completely. I then have to reconnect using a new putty session. (however on some occasions it did unfreeze after 10 minutes or so.)

I tested this a few times and noticed that if I do type some characters after the "match except:" prompt and then press the abort sequence this issue does not occur. only when I leave it blank before pressing abort.

I recently upgraded to 10.0S1.1 but I seem to recall having the same issue when I was using version 9.4R1.8 allthough I am not certain of that. But I still have to unpack another switch which should have an older version installed so I will verify if it has the same issue.

I agree with Kevin, the bug I was thinking of was fixed in 10.0R1 and 9.6R3 (and thus also in 10.0S1 - unless you meant 10.0B1...) - can you please confirm that you are still seeing this behaviour in 10.0 ? If so, then it would appear to be a new bug.

At this point I seem to be able to press the abort sequence again, which returns me to the commandline after a few seconds. But then it freezes again a bit later, until at some point abort doesn't seem to work either

I did a few more tests with JTA (Java telnet/ssh). This time the command line does not block while I am stroking random keys after the abort sequence (like it did with putty) but it freezes instantly when I actually press enter.

I just came across this bug myself - turns out there is still an issue in recent releases specifically at the "match" prompt when you hit ctrl-c. This is: 493881 - CLI is getting stuck when the user is retrieving interface stats

I've basically settled into Unity, but one constant that is kind of giving me agita is that in LibreOffice Calc (and Writer) ctrl-f does nothing. I can go to edit > find ... and the edit menu even suggests ctrl-f as a keyboard shortcut, but actually typing it doesn't do anything. ctrl-alt-f works fine. The only thing that doesn't work is ctrl-f. I had a really hard time getting settled with Unity (mostly trying to get my old Gnome-do and Compiz settings back) so I spent a lot of time monkeying with the Compiz Settings Manager. But I can't figure out where I would have unset/ overrode this. Plus, it isn't like ctrl-f does something unexpected. It just does nothing.

Try this: go to View > Toolbars and check 'Find'. This adds a 'Find' dialog on the toolbar. When you click ctrl-f the cursor jumps to that toolbar, then enter the search term, and hit enter, or use the arrows to search up or down.

Unfortunately, it still doesn't work. I know of a workaround: Right click and select the option to confirm the translation and move to the next untranslated segment or "Ctrl+Alt+Enter" but it is not as effective as the shortcut "Ctrl + Enter" and a bit time consuming.

Thank you. It says Ctrl + Enter. I also tried to adjust the shortcut in something else, but it doesn't seem to work. I don't get a notification that the new shortcut is already in use, but I thought perhaps try to adjust it and readjust it again into Ctrl+Enter. Unfortunately, it doesn't help.

Hello, I had the same problem. I have resolved it by mapping control+enter (for mac) into ctrl+enter (for windows) in Parallels Desktop Preferences for virtual machine Windows 11. Maybe this ce n be useful

I was experimenting with bookmarks, making visuals appear and disappear. I set up a couple of bookmarks, created a couple of buttons to trigger them. Then I held ctrl and clicked them, but it didn't work. It just selects the button, drawing size handles on them. What am I doing wrong?

I have an HP Pavilion 17-e031sa Notebook PC purchased only 2-weeks ago and running Windows 8. The ctrl key is not working as it should. I would typically use it together with the left mouse key to highlight non-consecutive items for copying, but it will not work for this function. It doesn't seem to be the key itself as it does work in the alt/ctrl/del combination. I have tried uninstalling the keyboard driver and rebooting, but without success. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry for the confusion, I knew those hotkeys wouldn't do the function you were looking for. I wanted to know if those shortcuts worked using the Ctrl key. This way we can see if it that particular function is working or all the ctrl key shortcuts are working. Did any hotkeys do what they were supposed to do? For example, does Ctrl+X cut the selected text or does Ctrl-Esc open the start menu?

Thanks for the reply. Yes, it is both ctrl keys that are not working as expected. I have tried from the list of hot-keys as you suggested, but none of them perform the function I described - i.e. being able to highlight non-consecutive items by use of mouse left-click while holding down ctrl.
