Using UART

Hi!

Given a RocketChip system, with a UART component, what's tje process to accés said device from software? 

I'm talking about FPGA (aka not simulated), baremetal, untethered system here. No OS, just plain binary. 

I'm failing to find any example, or any specification on the device structure itself (in terms of registers and such, so I could possibly find out how to write that software). 

Any help here?
