coremark iterations

building coremark from https://github.com/riscv-boom/riscv-coremark results in 40 000 iterations. in .MAK file if I change the ITERATIONS=10 flag nothing is changed. I tried to define number of iterations in coremark_portme.h it results in duplicate define, but i couldnt find where its already defined. 

How can I change the number of iterations and what factors its depending on?

I only check number of iterations by using spike pk coremark.riscv
