Kevin,

I would also recommend that one person be the contact or that you simply state in your e-mail that all the alumni has to do if interested is respond with a simple yes. I also think that career advice should be highlighted in this e-mail so the alumni understands that this is mostly the focus of the mentor relationship and not for just Chi Psi advice. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Guys - please take a look at and comment on this draft letter before I send it out. Anthony has sent me a list of undergraduates interested in participating which I will attach once the letter is complete. - Kevin

Brothers,

The Alumni Board as well as the Undergraduate Executive Council are working on developing a mentoring system for the undergraduates, so that each undergraduate is hooked up with an alumni Brother throughout his years "On The Banks".

The expectations are that the undergraduate would be able to contact their alumni mentor (and visa versa) to discuss topics ranging from the workings of Chi Psi to career advice.  The intent is to establish a clear channel for communication to assist the undergraduate brothers in navigating life while at college and to keep the alumni brother advised on what is happening at the Lodge. It is possible that a single alumni Brother could be mentoring more than one undergraduate at a time.

In order to get this program going we would like to start with an initial list of undergraduates who are interested in participating in the program. I would ask that if you are interested in mentoring any of the listed undergraduates, or would like to participate in the program, please contact one of the following brothers with your contact info;

Anthony Rodriguez (Current #1), arod...@gmail.com, 718-440-6634
Anthony Eagelton, eage...@gmail.com

We are asking you to recall your undergraduate days and how much it helped or could have helped if you had had a mentor to help show you the ropes. Please consider participating in this program to help in giving back to the ever changing current brotherhood.

Hi Kevin,

This past week I had the opportunity to speak to National about the program. They like the idea and offered some tips that other Alphas have used to get the program started. After thinking about it some more I believe it would be most effective if the undergraduates send out the e-mail ourselves to all of the alumni.

Could you please send me a list of all of the alumni's e-mail addresses? Once we gather responses I will update you, Doc, and the rest of the alumni association and we could collectively address how to move forward from that point. Also is Doc going to be the point man on the alumni side for this indefinitely? That way I know who to contact directly?

From the undergraduate side I will be the lead contact, but Mike Migliorino, Serhiy Moshak, and Eugene Sasanov have also stepped up and will be part of the career program committee.

Please let me know if you have any further questions and I look forward to receiving the alumni roster.

YITB,

Anthony

Anthony R. - I have misplaced the email that you sent me with the list of undergrads. Can you please send it to me again. Thanks.

Brothers,

The Alumni Board as well as the Undergraduate Executive Council are working on developing a mentoring system for the undergraduates, so that each undergraduate is hooked up with an alumni Brother throughout his years "On The Banks".

The expectations are that the undergraduate would be able to contact their alumni mentor (and visa versa) to primarily discuss career advice but they would also be available to discuss life events as well as questions around what it means to be a Chi Psi.  The intent is to establish a clear channel for communication to assist the undergraduate brothers in navigating life while at college and to keep the alumni brother advised on what is happening at the Lodge. It is possible that a single alumni Brother could be mentoring more than one undergraduate at a time.

In order to get this program going we would like to start with an initial list of Alumni who are interested in participating in the program. Attached is a current list of undergraduates who are interested in participating in the programI would ask that if you are interested in mentoring any of the listed undergraduates, or would like to participate in the program, please reply to the following brother with your contact info;
