*IMPORTANT PUBLIC NOTICE*
The Spring Ordeal is fast approaching and we all know what that
means...
2008-2009 Officer Elections. Each year at the Spring Ordeal, the youth
of the Lodge elect the core leadership for the coming year. For the
last year and a half, I have had the great pleasure to serve as the
Lodge Chief of Chippanyonk Lodge. YOU could be the next great officer!
Some of the best experiences of my life came this past year. I had the
unique opportunity work with many great and inspiring adults as well
as youth. I've given speeches to crowds of all kinds, and most
importantly I got to help leave my legacy in Chippanyonk Lodge. Lodge
Chief isn't the only way to serve. As Lodge Chief I had a core of 5
officers and 5 Chairman that supported me 100% throughout my term as
Chief. Without their support I would not have been half as successful
a Chief as I have been. The positions include a Vice Chief for each
district (Tri-River, Viking, Liberty), Secretary, Treasurer,
Ceremonies Chairman, Media Services Chairman, Vigil Selection
Chairman, Activities Chairman, and Brotherhood Chairman. Every
position is as important as the next and each have important duties.
If you have questions about any position, feel free to contact myself
or any of the current Vice Chiefs, as I am sure they would be more
than happy to answer any questions you might have. Just a reminder,
you do not need to be from the district you are running for. I would
strongly suggest that if you are thinking of running for a particular
position that you just shoot me an email and we can make sure that you
understand the position fully. Again this is a great opportunity for
arrowmen in the lodge looking to gain more leadership skills and
notoriety within the lodge and the council. I urge each and every one
of you to become more active with your district and lodge committees.
