Name Correction(s) within CPP data

Will one of you please Correct the also Live Update Copy of CPP data Record on SIRE of RM's 7/11/2016 litter to read:

Atholl Hurricane Nakoda Rain


Because it turns out the issue I'm having today where my dbase is refusing to Build new pedigree(s) on the also newer/youger dogs records; Is because SOME of those Sires and Dams as entered do NOT YET EXIST IN MY DBASE. Which is also primarily based upon PRIOR CPP data, yes. Which means, I also need to run further auto and manual integrity checks on the updated data in morn. Steady as I go. But I noticed finally it was INDICATING to me WHICH SIRES and DAMS do not also have existing records. One of which is this incorrectly entered Sire name on RM 2016 litter. So, of course, it's NOT YET correctly LINKING to the PRIOR VALIDATED EXISTING NAME on Nakoda. Which isn't cool, if we are also changing dog(s) names within CPP updates, yet not REVALIDATING them. So somewhere along the line within CPP data even, G or another breeder Altered his name, I guess? Dunno. Doesn't matter if one of you CORRECTS Nakoda's name back to also BREEDER(s) & CPP VALIDATED name. Thanks much, seb

That is the Nut Farm Litter where I let Jim and Tish Gowgiel use my kennel name. I don't have a copy of the newest database nor do I know how to update it so I am not the person you need.

I have never changed any names in the database. I do refer to this dog as Kody Joe, however, if that has any bearing on the case. That's because I had another Kodi at the time Kody Joe arrived. But Kody Joe is just the call name that ***I*** use, not his custodial owners.

And he is now neutered after siring a couple litters, one of which was badly afflicted with mega esophagus.

When a new updated version is available, I'd love to know so I could download it. Thanks to Karen who I presume will be updating it.

Susan, don't stress about me supposedly doing things until you know for sure that I have. I don't even understand what you think I did here.

I updated the database.  Someone just had the names in imperfect order.  It happens.  I generally run the file into a database every few months to pick off the inconsistencies.  

I didn't realize Kody Joe was neutered - I made that update as well.  I hadn't realized he'd produce Mega E - I thought we hadn't seen that in the breed since the Potato x Riley litter.  :(  This would put some previously unknown dogs in the pedigree mix of Mega E.  Bummer.

Thanks, Karen.  Maybe you should be the one to Add records n ow; After locking prior Validated Names.  Just a suggestion on the fly, because my dbase says there are other sires and dams of the recent litters which also have NO CPP record.  gives me a headache.  I will share a list in morn of those, unless you run further auto checks.  but unless you are building peds or reviewing reverse peds, you may not realize same dogs have 2 records.  Anyway, I'm tired, enough dbase weirdness for 1 day, agreed.  

Ginger, whatever.  point is no one had any reason to change or add a 2nd record.  maybe you don't care, but others should, frankly.  best, seb

OK, so these appear to be the Add'l UNValidated Sires and Dams of the young litters Added this CPP Live Update Copy. Likley most are also duplicates of Prior Validated pups or dogs. So I would greatly appreciate if you could either Correcly LINK these sire/dam records within VALIDATED data; Or we Validate them here, etc. Thanks.

And I have no perfect solution to this also imperfect dbase, other than you indeed personally VET/Validate all added Sires/Dams here forward, before further publication(s), thanks. best, seb

Thanks for catching a couple of spelling errors, Susan.  The last 5 have been fixed.  The first two simply are not in the spreadsheet at all, as dogs or parents.  I ran the entire data set into BreedMate and ran the data doctor and there are currently no errors.  As updates occur, so do mistypes, occasionally.  This is why I run the database into BM every so often and cleanse it.  It generally takes just a few minutes, as it did here.

You are right.  I as mixing up litters yesterday when emailing while dealing with things from too many grandpups at the same time.  No, Kody Joe did NOT produce MegaE.  It came from Riley (aka Rain Mountain Skykomish River; Boreayl’s Salishan of Rain and Frontier Brick Raferty) and Potato (Granite Hill Moses; I don’t remember his dam right now but his sire is probably Granite Hill Enatai Rain).  Kody has produced one case of monorchidism and a few Irish White but that is the worst I can think of right now.

 

Kody Joe was neutered recently since he’d sired enough pups in the two litters (one with Moonsong Raksha for Springcreek, the other with Rain Mountain KimaLina).

 

Sorry for the mix-up yesterday.  I was working, writing emails about Star, and answering your email all at once.  I need to focus more and multitask less.
