Dear members

Hope you all are doing great! It's been a while since we sent you updates about CSB but with so much happening these last few months, we thought this is just the right time. Here's summing up our little successes and highlights for the last few months:

1. PRATIBHA POSHAN:

This program is our latest addition to the CSB objectives. During the years of successfully running Vidya Vritti, we observed that a significant number of meritorious children drop out of school every year even before reaching Std 10th owing to socio economic factors. To address this gap, we came up with this new program that focuses on providing financial assistance in the form of an annual financial scholarship to students from class 7 - 10. In this scheme, 40-50 students are selected annually from Bokaro District and awarded a scholarship amount estimated to be enough to cover their expenses on stationery, textbooks and other miscellaneous items. Most of the applicants are from govt schools and a few from private schools. 641 students applied this year for the written test out of which 106 qualified for the interview and 44 students were selected. 2. SUCCESS STORIES:

- We are proud to announce that Saurav Bhagat, our scholar from 2015 batch qualified in BPSC exams and is now Dy.SP in Bihar Police. Please visit our fb page and our Youtube channel to know more about Saurav's story.

- Another news is our very Own Ansh Giri who is a CSB scholar (recipient of Vidya Vritti scholarship) in std Xiith cleared JEE Mains and qualifies for JEE Advanced.

3. VIDYA VRITTI:

With the Xth board results just round the corner, we are expecting our last few applications. If you live in or around Bokaro and know any bright children from economically challenged backgrounds who manage to secure above 95% in their board exams, please connect them to us or share the Vidya Vritti application link with them- https://rb.gy/6nmd3t

4. WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT:

A big thank you to all of you who have contributed their time or money to us over the last 15 years. With your support, we have managed to run our expenses till now. However this year is going to be crucial with the introduction of our new program Pratibha Poshan and we would appeal to you to help us cover the additional expenses. Good news is we are 80G compliant now. Our annual expenses are around 6 lakhs (3.5 lakhs for Pratibha Poshan and 2.5 lakhs for Vidya Vritti) You can donate HERE.

5. VOLUNTEER WITH US:

In a volunteer run organization like us, we always need more hands. Please write to us and we will call you to discuss what would be the most exciting task that you could help us  with. We need help with social media creators, writers, fundraising experts, policy experts, techies, teachers, mentors and many more. You will have a wide variety of tasks to choose from and we promise that you will love what you do :)
