You are invited to join us for the Fourth Hawaii International Conference on Chinese Studies (HICCS) IN PERSON from January 8 to 10 in 2025, on the campus of the University of Hawaii at Manoa, in Honolulu, Hawaii. Please find attached Call For Paper flyer and feel free to circulate. 

 

Here are some important information for HICCS 2025.

 

TIME: January 8-10, 2025

 

LOCATION: University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa (Honolulu) 

 

LANGUAGE: Chinese & English Bilingual

 

PAPER SUBMISSION DEADLINE: September 1, 2024

 

TOPICS:

Papers might address one or more of the following fields of Chinese Studies: Anthropology, Art and Art History, Business, Comparative Literature, Cultural Studies, Economics, Education, Family and Consumer Sciences, Film/Media Studies, Finance, Health Sciences, History, Journalism/Communication, Language Pedagogy, Law, Library Sciences, Linguistics, Literature, Marketing, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Public Administration, Religion, Sociology, Theater/Music/Performance Studies, Translation Studies, and Travel Industry Management.

 

PAPER SUBMISSION: 

Participants must submit a paper title, an abstract (500 words limit), and a proposal (Less than 1000 English words or 1500 Chinese words) by September 1, 2024. Chinese and English papers are allowed. 

 

We will use EasyChair conference management system for paper submission. Please click on this link and following the paper submission instructions on the website to submit your paper. If you have an account with EasyChair, you may log into your account and submit your paper. If you do not have an account with EasyChair, you will be prompted to create an account with EasyChair. You will need to provide your name, email, affiliation, and country to create the account. If your paper is selected, the information you provide to EasyChair will be used in the conference program.

 

REGISTRATION: 

Registration for HICCS will open on October 1, 2024.

Early Bird Rate (paid by November 15, 2024): US $185

After November 15, 2024: US $220

Full refunds can be returned (minus a US $25 service fee) for requests on or before December 1, 2024. After December 1, no refunds will be allowed.

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and space is limited.

 

POLICIES: 

Co-presenters are permitted in the case of co-authored research. The paper submission must make the identities of all participants clear and indicate who will be presenting the paper. Upon acceptance, each presenter must register for the conference separately and pay the full registration fee.

会议注册将于2024年10月1日开放

2024年11月15日之前注册价格：185 美元

2024年11月15日之后注册价格：220 美元

2024年12月1日或之前取消注册可全额退款（收取25美元手续费)，晚于12月1日将概不退款。

参会名额有限，先到先得。

 

会议政策：

会议接受联合作者共同提交论文， 在提交过程中须提供论文所有作者的信息，并注明论文发言人，论文一经大会采纳，每位论文发言人需单独注册会议并缴纳会议注册费。
