Global East Religion Writing Workshop

This coming January, the Center on Religion and the Global East will offer a writing workshop for junior scholars working on the study of religion in Chinese, Japanese, and/or Korean communities. This five-day (2-hour daily) Zoom workshop is designed for advanced graduate students, lecturers, and junior faculty members who are preparing English manuscripts for publication.
Day 1, will be a chance for participants to introduce themselves and gain a general overview of the publication process.
Day 2, will focus on forming research with attention to generating a thesis statement of the article.
Day 3, will offer participants a chance to refine their thesis statements and evaluate the work of fellow participants.
Day 4, will focus on using concepts well, both to refine concepts and to communicate with a larger scholarly audience.
Day 5, will give participants a chance to discuss their research one-on-one with the instructor of the workshop.
