Dear all,

The Center for Theology and Religions at Lund University is currently searching for Ph.D. applicants - and we really would welcome applications in the field of religious studies. Recent M.A. graduates in religious studies are warmly encouraged to apply.

The admission requirements for History of Religions have been broadened upon my initiative, so that we can far more easily accept a non-Swedish candidate. The M.A. (second cycle study in Swedish terminology, a PhD is a third cycle study) should be completed, best in the field of religious studies, but at least relevant to it and with at least one paper in the field of religious studies. On should have a good M.A. thesis and a good research proposal - preferrably in the field of Chinese Religions and Buddhism. The fellowship takes four years, the monthly income seems close to 3.000 Euro, an international committee will be set up for supervision, committee members are refunded for their efforts. The deadline for applications is February 15th

In addition, one position is open in which one could very well work on Chinese Christianity in relation to other religions or social issues, historically or contemporary (see announcement). Candidates can be from Europe or East Asia or elsewhere:

- Doctoral student at the Centre of Theology and Religious Studies, within the graduate School Society, Theology, and Church - focusing on the interaction between Church and non-Christian fatih traditions (LMS)

Warm welcome to contact me and apply in case of interest: esther-mari...@ctr.lu.se!

Best wishes,

Esther-Maria

P.S.: Several other positions are available and it might be good to enter the same application in different calls if there is overlap:
