(1) snowshoe and seven springs pa are comparable, with regard to size, snow quality, season length (but approximately Dec 1st to April 1st). but snowshoe has more vertical.

(2) seven springs pa $400 is better than snowshoe $200 because 7springs is 1.5 hour closer one way (7springs = 3 hour one way, almost all federal freeway, snowshoe = 4.5 hours, substantial portion of local, narrow road that is hard to drive during snow storm)

it's a bit of a stretch, but 7springs is doable for a day trip.

(3) if buy snowshoe, no need to drive to snowshoe today to buy the $200 season pass, can call 877.441.4386 to buy

(4) if buy 7springs, see below email. before April 30, $50 off the $469 price, plus some further discount if pay cash/check.

(5) for both snowshoe and 7springs if you buy next season's season pass, you get ski the rest of THIS reason for free.

Congrats to Snowrider!

I went to liberty for 2 times after last time we met at Whitetail. Liberty has much less crowd than whitetail. And I can finally make it to the backside of the mountain now:D
Plan to go again this week to get some more practice before the end of the season. Hope to see people from this group there!

I totally agree with you!  Seven Springs has good terrain park (and especially their Super Pipe).  The only trail that I would ski at Snowshoe is the Western Territory run.  Go to get a Mountain Collective pass ASAP, and we can go skiing out West together next snow season!

My 2 cents: 7 Springs is good place for beginner to intermediate. If you think you are better than that, do not waste your money to get a season pass at 7 Springs. I'd rather spend that $400 on a big mountain ski trip. Snowshoe, I have been there once. Not impressive though.

My background: Living in Pittsburgh area,  I have been to 7 springs for over 50 times. This is my 6th season. If you have any question about 7 Springs, feel free to drop some line.

FYI only 1 dbl diamond slope (goose bump) open during entire season at 7 springs. Terrrain parks are very good. When you are there, make sure you try the half pipe, one of the tallest on the east coast!

Kathy

Anywhere on the top of Snowshoe Mtn would be OK.
Don't stay at the bottom of Snowshoe or Cass, WV
