mac pinyin conflict

When using Mac pinyin the pinyin window pops up and disappear right away when typing words.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

What version of OS X?  Trad or simplified pinyin?

All apps, including TextEdit, mail, notes, safari, pages?
