After update to Java 1.6.0_29-b11-402, many Java-Based Application cannot enter chinese characters

On my Mac OS X 10.6.8 system, I cannot type non-English characters
into many Java-Based GUI applications, so far I have tried:
Freemind 0.9.0
JEdit 4.3.2
GanttProject 2.0.10
None of the Mac OS input methods work for me, including the built-in
Cangjie, Pingyin or even the popular Yahoo Input Method. Please Help.

Hello Hundred Plus,
Unless you happen to get a suggestion from someone here, I'd suggest
posting this to the Apple Support boards. In my experience Java
updates do sometimes have odd effects, and they're hard to
troubleshoot; you might get more Java and Mac OS X experience out of
the Apple Support boards.
