On November 16, the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Tampa Bay (CCCTB) hosted an educational seminar attended by over 30 participants. The event took place in a classroom provided by Royal Title in Clearwater. Two experienced professionals shared their insights: Ms. Liu Tian presented on “How to Create Short Videos with Storytelling: Low-Cost, High-Return Branding.” At the same time, Mr. Cheng Lei discussed “Mastering Home Renovation Techniques.”
After President Duan Xiaohong delivered a welcome speech and introduced the board of directors, she expressed gratitude to Linda and Peter Yang for sponsoring the venue, as well as to Metro City Bank representative Esther Chen, who provided 2025 desk calendars and snacks. President Duan emphasized that the chamber, with nearly 25 years of history, serves as a bridge for the community and a platform for business information. The seminar offered attendees opportunities to gain new knowledge and network with new friends.
The seminar included a smooth agenda with a lunch break sponsored by the chamber. During the networking session, several surprises emerged. For instance, Ms. Xu Wen from Beijing discovered that she shared the same hometown, surname, and even neighborhood with former chamber secretary Xu Ying, underscoring the saying, “The world is big but also small.” Additionally, Ms. Juzi, a media creator, found that several of her fans were in attendance. Enthusiastic participants even traveled from places like Spring Hill, Palmetto, Sarasota, and Lakewood Ranch, showcasing their dedication to learning.
Ms. Liu advised that short videos should immediately hook the audience’s attention and remain concise—30-45 seconds being the ideal length to retain viewers. Mr. Cheng used charts to illustrate how the rental market peaks from May to July and discussed strategies for choosing investment properties, calculating renovation costs, and assessing market value for both flipping and long-term investments. His interactive Q&A segment with prizes was particularly engaging, effectively capturing the audience’s attention.
