特拉华大学举办旅美侦探小作家裘小龙讲座 Novelist Qiu Xiaolong lecture at UD（3/24 5pm at Trabant Theatre)

特拉华大学将在下周二3月24日下午5点在UD Trabant Theatre举办著名旅美作家裘小龙讲座。

裘小龙，诗人，诗歌翻译家，小说家，出生于上海，毕业于上海华东师大外语系。上个世纪八十年代国为翻译T·S·艾略特和美国意象派诗人的诗而闻名，译著长篇传记文学《拜伦传》，诗集《抒情诗人叶芝诗选》，《意象派诗选》，小说《四个四重奏》等。《四个四重奏》获上海青年文学翻译奖。八十年代末，到美国留学，并用英语开始小说创作。现为华盛顿中国文学教授。已经出版英文侦探推小说两部：《红英之死》和《外滩花园》。

该讲座免费向公众开放。讲座后有作家作品签售会。

 “Inspector Chen in the Global Era”

 Qiu Xiaolong’s series of crime-thriller novels set in Shanghai and starring police inspector Chen Cao are acclaimed for the way in which they blend an intriguing mystery with astute commentary on contemporary China, as the burgeoning superpower struggles to shift from old world socialism to new world capitalism, with all the trials and tribulations that entails.

 This event includes a sale of Qiu’s books. His talk will be followed by a book signing and a reception in Trabant MPR C.
