Overview
As a senior engineer you will play a key role on a mission critical web based GIS system.
Participates in all phases of software operating systems and software application programs engineering, including design, analysis, and modeling at an expert level; establishes state-of-the-art techniques for designing, developing, modifying and troubleshooting highly complex software operating systems and applications architectures; defines complex design specifications and parameters; identifies and directs resolution of complex hardware/software interface issues; can serve as a subject matter expert on emerging technologies; directs the development of systems specifications and technical documentation; may serve as project lead, either working independently in a technical role in field of specialization, or providing work leadership with management or supervisory responsibility for the group.
Education: MA/MS preferred, BS Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline,
OR the equivalent combination of experience, and technical certifications and training
Qualifications Required
· at least eight years’ directly related experience in the design, and development related to project
· Geospatial Applications such as ESRI -Expert level understanding and development experience
· Java web applications (Java ADF and Spring preferred) – 5+ years development track record
· web based services and SOA –track record of integration experience
· Expert level experience in the integration of software components as part of a large enterprise system
· Experience troubleshooting software configuration problems
· Experience performing automated software builds
· Web page development, web page layout and Portal experience a plus
· Knowledge of RDBMS and data modeling concepts is required. Experience with Oracle database, knowledge of SQL, and PL/SQL is a plus
· client side web development languages (JavaScript, HTML, DHTML, and CSS)
· Oracle and ADF based applications experience is preferred
