The NC Center for Geographic Information and Analysis has two open positions, now posted by the Department of Information Technology. Descriptions and links to job openings (both closing February 16):

Statewide Orthoimagery Project Manager

This position provides senior project management and geospatial technical services for CGIA client projects. It is responsible for managing client relationships, documenting requirements, implementing geospatial workflows, and developing and evaluating staff assignments to ensure projects meet client expectations. A major responsibility is program and fiscal management of the Statewide Orthoimagery Program, a multimillion dollar effort annually to deliver orthoimagery to 911 centers statewide. The position leads the qualifications-based selection (QBS) process, develops and manages contracts, assigns and monitors the work of staff and contractors, and reports status to the NC 911 Board on a regular basis.

AddressNC Project Manager

The AddressNC effort is the primary responsibility of the position. AddressNC is funded by the General Assembly to build and sustain a master address data resource for all residential and commercial address points in North Carolina. The dataset will be used to meet the needs of the 2020 Census, NextGen 911 and serve as a key data resource for many state government programs on an ongoing basis. The position will seek and develop uses cases for this resource and work with state and local government collaborators and partners to build the resource from authoritative data sources in local governments. The person in this position will develop a workload plan, identify and allocate staff resources to accomplish AddressNC goals, manage the AddressNC effort, and monitor the expenditure of funds. AddressNC will evolve into a sustained data resource and web services accessible to public and private sector users.

Thank you.
