CECD English  To Serve | Mark 10:45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. Announcements     11:00AM Fellowship | Our English congregation hopes to build greater fellowship and deeper worship.  We are creating a “space” before our worship service to connect and have fellowship.  Come 15 minutes earlier at 11AM to meet and catch up with people.  Our service will begin at 11:30am to accommodate this fellowship time.       Fall Back | Daylight Savings ends next week.  Don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour this Sunday.   Take Them A Meal |The Rowland family will be returning back to the states from China on11/12 with their new 2yr old baby boy, John. On November 11, we will be having a follow up lock-in at BCEFC from 7pm to 11:15am the next morning. For more information, please contact Ivo Yueh at 720.244.3724 or cxr.di...@gmail.com.   Membership Meeting, Sunday Nov 13 | Our English congregation has an opportunity to participate in a key part of the life of a church: membership.  We will be holding a membership meeting during our Sunday school our at 10am on Nov 13th.   We will be talking about our church’s budget, ministry, and vision.  All are welcome to join us.  A congregational vote will take place on Dec 11th.  If you are interested in becoming a member of our church, please speak to Pastor Josh. (jos...@gmail.com or 720-295-9292)    Parent’s Night, Friday Nov 19 | Parents, we want to offer a night out of fellowship without need to worry about your children.  Details will come soon.    Operation Christmas Child | Our church will be participating in the Samaritan’s Purse ministry, Operation Christmas Child.  We will be collecting shoe boxes filled with gifts and necessities from Oct. 23 - Nov. 13.  Empty shoe boxes and information pamphlets are in the foyer.  For more information, contact Dorothy Moon (dorot...@gmail.com or 303-249-2741).  We will also be volunteering our time at Denver's OCC warehouse on Dec. 8.  More details to come.   Volunteering with Operation Christmas Child, Dec 8 | On Dec. 8, from 6:00-10:00pm, we will be volunteering at OCC's processing center in Colorado to help inspect and prepare shoe boxes for overseas shipment (they anticipate receiving 700,000 shoe boxes). Warehouse address: 16303 E. 32nd Ave., Ste. 20, Aurora, CO, 80011. Space is limited, so sign up earlier by either emailing or calling Dorothy Moon at dorot...@gmail.com/303-249-2741. Donations  |  Brrr...it's cold outside. As we put away our summer clothes and take out our winter clothes, take a moment to think about the refugees in Denver who are without winter gear and consider helping them. We will be collecting gently used sweaters, coats, gloves, hats, and boots between November 13 - December 11. Please place all donated items in the box in the foyer.   Thanksgiving Service & Potluck, Wed Nov 23 | Our church will be celebrating and offering thanks for God’s blessings in our lives together on  Nov 23rd @ 6:30pm.  We will have a worship service followed by a potluck dinner.   Deacon Nomination | Each year our church nominates new deacons to serve our church in the critical and needed role of leadership.  If you would are interested in serving in this capacity, or know someone to nominate, please speak with Pastor Josh (jos...@gmail.com or 720-295-9292)    Email Newsletter | We are moving our email newsletter to Google Groups for ease of communication and management.  If you have not signed up, please visit our website and subscribe to continue to receive our weekly news .    Church Picture Directory | Our church will be issuing a new picture directory.  We have been updating our congregation’s information.  If you would like to be a part of our directory, please fill out a contact information form after service or email Pastor Josh (jos...@gmail.com or 720-295-9292)     Prayer Needs     Pray for Daniel Mejia, who has moved to California for a new job.  Pray for his transition, finding a new church home and community, and God’s continued presence in deepening his faith in this new chapter of life.  We will miss our dear friend and brother. Pray for the whole Rowland family (Jason, Erin, Kelly, Kate, and Joe) who will be meeting and welcoming their new adopted baby boy, John, into their family on Oct 31st.  Pray for great compassion for the family towards John in remembering where he comes from and what he’s been through.   They return home on 11/12.
