RA position for incoming master students at TAMU ECE (Fall, 2016)
The Yu lab will have an RA opening beginning in Fall, 2016. We are
looking for an inspired and highly motivated Ph.D. student interested
in big data-driven bioinformatics. Students with strong analytic
skills are encouraged to apply. Prior exposures to machine learning,
statistics and programming are preferred. Strong background in at
least one of these areas is required. Applicants are not required to
have a biological background, but must be able to demonstrate the
ability to learn biology knowledge relevant to research.
For students interested in joining the Yu lab: If you are a TAMU
graduate student, please email Dr. Yu your CV and transcript, along
with your understanding of big data-driven bioinformatics, why you are
interested in this area and how your current skills and knowledge can
be applied in this area. If you are not currently a TAMU graduate
student, in addition to emailing Dr. Yu, you will need to apply
officially at the TAMU ECE Graduate Admissions website (select the
area Biomedical Imaging, Sensing & Genomic Signal Processing).
