Hello!

We're looking for a bilingual Chinese college student, professor from
university or someone with good contacts with universities nationwide
that could take the lead in organizing the Chinese National event of
the "Global Robotics Competition" in December/January so we can find
a team to represent China in the international competition in India
March 14th-17th, 2013.

The competition is open to college students only. It sounds like a
really exciting and interesting event, especially the IRGT
"International Robots Got Talent" [Although it is also sad that like
many similar events, they only take teams from colleges...]

Taking the lead means creating a team of internal/external people to
translate the documentation, promote the event through Chinese social
media and colleges news source, find sponsors, setting up the venue,
acting as a contact with the international team. The goal is to find
the very best teams to represent China on the world stage. Should be a
great experience with lots of visibility and you can use your local
hackerspace (doesn't have to be XCJ) as a neutral platform to host the
competition.

Greetings from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (INDIA)!

Recognized as a center of academic excellence internationally, Indian
Institute of Technology, Kanpur has been consistently engaged in providing
meaningful education in engineering and science and conducting original
research of the highest standard.

Techkriti is the annual international technical & entrepreneurship
festival of IIT Kanpur and definitely the greatest exponent of exuberance
and creativity of its students. Techkriti’13 will be organized from March
14th-17th, 2013. Lately, For Robogames in particular, it attracts
participation of more than 2500 participants every year competing for
Prize money worth more than 7000 USD.

Our proposal:
In the upcoming addition of Techkriti, to be held from 14th -17th March
2013 at Kanpur, INDIA, we are planning to launch the Global Robotics
Competition (GRC), which would comprise of two sub-events:
iARC: International Autonomous Robotics Competition and iRGT: FIRST ever
International ROBOTS GOT TALENT!

We are happy to extend our association to you. Your organization, being
reputed in China, we believe would be best suited for the conduction of
the nationwide China round of our global challenge and send the best
team from China to represent your country in IIT Kanpur, India.
