JOB TITLE: Materials Manager / Sr. manager
JOB GRADE: 27-28
JOB FUNCTION: site materials

REPORTS TO: Site Materials Director


PURPOSE:

The Materials Manager will work closely with the account materials
team to manage the material flow and inventory accuracy efficiently,
to ensure integrity of onsite materials and to lead the materials
department to provide cost efficient support to the operation. The
Materials Manager will be responsible for developing material
schedules and will coordinate the efficient movement of materials with
purchasing, production and engineering.


PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The Materials Manager will:

* Manage and lead the materials team, in terms of administering
company policies that directly affect subordinate employees and acting
as an advisor to subordinates, becoming actively involved as required
to meet schedules or resolve problems
* Recommend changes in policy to support cost incentives
* Frequently interact with supervisors, customers and of functional
peer group managers
* Be responsible to drive inventory levels down to an acceptable level
to meet Inventory turn over targets
* Identify and implement inventory management procedures to manage the
materials flow within the plant ensuring all activities and materials
are being tracked and monitored to meet corporate goals and objectives
* In charge of customers order/demand management, production
scheduling, materials planning and materials controlling
* Responsible for On-time delivery to customers, Excess & Obsolesce
liability handling
* Drive operation for fast turnaround of work orders minimizing aging
work orders on the operation floor
* Be the person responsible to handle all BaaN system issues adversely
affecting Materials / Inventory management to achieve resolution
* Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and
retain a qualified and motivated workforce

Job Requirements

4.1 Education Qualification
- Bachelor's degree with majored in engineering or business
management

4.2 Knowledge & Skills
- ERP knowledge, SAP or BAAN is preferred
- Fluent English both oral and writing
- People management

4.3 Personal Attributes
- Open and aggressive
4.4 Experience
- EMS industry experience is preferred
4.5 Training
- Lean /6-sigma
4.6 Other Requirements
