Hi all,

We still need volunteers for the OneHarvard event next Saturday, April 2, from 10:30am-1:30pm (or you can stay and watch the faculty panel if you want). If you haven’t already, please encourage people from your student groups to attend! Free Platforms and tote bags, as well as lunch, for those who help us out.

Thanks,

Rachel

Welcome back, students group leaders,

I’ve already sent this email to some of you. For those who haven’t seen it, could you please forward this email to your group members and encourage them to volunteer? As the email below states, we need 6 volunteers to commit to helping out (gifts for those who do!), and we would also love to have additional attendees! Thanks.

We are looking for 6 volunteers to help us host a Harvard-wide event, OneHarvard, on Saturday, April 2, at Gund Hall (see attached flyer). Please help us welcome newly admitted graduate students (mostly from GSAS and GSE), and current students from all over the University. Let’s show them what Harvard’s all about, the Design way.

We need volunteers for the following roles:

11am-12pm:

-2 students to stand at Gund’s Quincy St. entrance doors to welcome people in and direct them

-4 students to mingle with newly admitted students. We ask that you ‘put yourself out there’ as a resource for new grad students at Harvard, and to offer your personal perspective!

12-3pm:

-We’d like for all 6 of you to eat lunch in Piper with other current and newly admitted students from around Harvard. Our goal is to make sure there are at least a couple of current students (from all the various Schools) sitting at every table with the newly admitted students. After lunch, you can sit back and enjoy the faculty panel discussion, which is scheduled to end at 3pm. Then you are free to go.

Incentives: A free GSD 075 tote bag with a Platform 8! Also, the good feeling that you’re promoting diversity and inclusion within Harvard’s graduate schools. You could also stick around for the AASU’s Hackathon, which starts at 4pm!

Please let me know by Tuesday, March 22 if you’re interested, and which role you’d prefer for the morning.

Best,

Rachel
