Dear GSD,
ChinaGSD is pleased to invited you to the 2016 ChinaGSD Symposium on the topic of “Contemporary Chinese Cities Transformation” to be held on March 27th at Harvard University Graduate School of Design.
Regardless of among the well-equipped infrastructure in big cities or special localized characters of small cities, architecture and real estate development has always served as one of the major driving forces, and influenced the pace of urbanization and townization. Upon President Xi’s proposal on re-structuring and optimizing the Chinese cities and country-side in order to better meet the socio-economic demand, Harvard GSD China Trip had curated and held two symposiums respectively: China’s sustainable future on townization and culture revitalization, Shenzhen Future Cities development and economic transformation. Both symposiums had received great attendance and feedback.
In order to further explore the townization of China, ChinaGSD Chinese Students and Scholars Association will hold an in-depth symposium on Chinese Cities’ Transformation based on previous forums. The Symposium will invite renowned Chinese Urban Scholars to have conversations with respective professors and scholars at the Harvard GSD. It aims to inspire and create intellectual values through the conversations and exchange of ideas from scholars on both sides.
You are all welcome to join us for the symposium this Sunday in Piper Auditorium.
Best Regards,
ChinaGSD
