Hello,

Following round robin policy, the next session should be in Intel. :)

Then what do you want for this session?

Thanks,
Kent

Hi Kent,

What about graphic card or other hardware driver development?

the title could be:
"How to participate in driver developing" or
"How to write graphic card driver"

just my humble option.  :)

Ray,

Thanks for your suggestion!

So Novell guys are also interested in device driver development? We
are expecting more engineers can attend opensource device drivers
development/testing/reviewing works for Linux.

Sure we can have a session like that. My basic ideas are:
1. Basic device driver development technologies.
2. Opensourced Intel device driver projects: Graphics / Wireless / openAMT.
3. Discussions.

Any objections?? Let me know or I will prepare the materials soon.

Thanks,
Kent

Thank you soooo much, Kent,
That's a GREAT idea you presented.
No problem for me!
but other people's suggestions need to be confirmed.

Dear Kent

I think we talk about basic Graphic and Xorg structure, if we get too
deep maybe we don't have enough interest group at this point.
Personally thinking wireless should be a better choice at this point.
Once we get more interest party in X and Graphic Card we can get
deep.

Alex,

I am not going to get very deep in Graphcis/Xorg structure. That's too complex and not suitable for presentation. The better way for that is to have technical discussions and the attendees should prepare very well.

Basically my idea is to explain some driver basics, and the brief about how Intel driver team is contributing community, and how you can participate the community to do drivers...

Not much technical details for neither Graphics nor Wireless, as none of them are easily to be explained.

Also I am looking for someone from Intel to prepare a good slide for wireless, and can't expect this can be done before next session. :)

Make sense?

Thanks,
Kent

Sure :) I'm actually welcome any of the above topics, and just let us
know which topic your team feel more comfortable to present. And I
will find more people to come. :)

I am interested in all of them.  Graphcis/Wireless/Xorg structure/Driver,  whatever....
we all could benefit of one of which.

personally, I prefer Xorg structure > Graphcis > Wireless > Driver Development

:)
