Dear all

2008 Olympic game is coming, I'm searching for an open source DMB-TH
HD TV Tunner card for my computer. After looking around on the web, I
discovered that it is created with Tsing Hua University. Maybe Dr Chen
Yu can find out some info for us and see there will be a open source
driver out there we can try to use?
The closest one is http://www.slipperybrick.com/2008/05/asus-my-cinema-u3100-mini/,
but the driver is deb base and binary only. Still waiting for their
open source driver :)

Any idea?

Do you have DVB-T signal at your home TV cable?

Even yes, I think that it requires CA certification to get undistorted signal. Did you try?

Thanks,
Kent

Don't really know about the CA Certification :) Do you have any link
online so I can read up on it?

Thanks

I used a wrong word. It should be CA authentication. :)

CA stands for Conditional Access. It uses a smart card in receiver like Set-Top-Box to decrypt the Digital TV signal.

Maybe you can read http://searchsecurity.techtarget.com/sDefinition/0,,sid14_gci331380,00.html#

I don't know how Beijing deploy Digital TV signal. The CA system totally depends on Service Provider vendor.
