Hello it's nice to meet you all.
I hope you all are well today or night as the case maybe.

I was wondering if any one here does requests for hexmapper since I
can draw with a crap.

What I need are a house icon, castle icon, church icon, temple icon,
wizards/mage school incon, shop and market icons as well as dock icons
army base and city garrison icons, graveyard icon, archery range icon
and every thing need to flesh out an entire city and the icons are
transparent so I can place them over grass, dirt icons without
changing the grass, dirt icons under them as well as a radiation, bio-
hazard, chemical/poison hazard icons that are transparent as well.

I know this is a lot to ask of you all but like I said I can draw with
a crap, nor do I know how to make transparent icons, or if you can
point me to a site where I can download these icons that would help as
well.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi Kargan,

Welcome.

The first place I'd go is Greg MacKenzie's site, where he has a page
devoted to Hexmapper: http://www.busygamemaster.com/hexmapper.html

You can download icons there, and there's a few tutorials. The other
place is the Yahoo! group, which is linked off of Greg's page.

Good luck, and drop a line if you need anything else.

Cheers,
-Erin

Hi Kargan,

Another hex map option is Joe Wetzel's Hexographer. There's a free
online version and a pro version you can use offline. But there are
more symbols than with Hexmapper, and Joe regularly updates the
program. http://www.hexographer.com

Still a third option (a bit more work, but not too much) is Greg's
Inkscape Hexmaps. It's a nice style and the symbols are great.

More options are better than none - hope these help!

Cheers,
-Erin

Hi Kargan,

I think most hex mapping is devoted to Atlas, Regional, and the hexes
below that in which the cities are represented by single symbols. It
might be hard to find city streets and so on in the raster programs
currently available. It's certainly worth pursuing as a geomorph built
on a grid rather than the hex, and actually I think there are some sites
that generate random maps of cities such as http://davesmapper.com/

In the meantime, I'll give your request some thought as I might be able
to develop a set of city building geomorphs for Inkscape.
