I have a suggestion: why not do away with XP and let gandalf say when we level up. We level up during or after milestone encounter for example. This ensures that randall can space the parcels evenly within the level and Randall won't find it hard adjusting encounters because we levelled up, since powered up monsters are vastly weaker than level appropriate monsters. |
| that definitely makes it easier for me but won't that make it too subjective for everyone's taste? it kinda means i can throw anything at you (skill challenge, encounters, ad hoc, etc...) but how you handle it doesn't really matter as much since it's more of a question of just getting through it. sure, if someone handles it particularly well then i'd probably decide to level people up earlier than normal but since i'm usually pretty wasted by the end of games, awarding XP just seems less messy. what does everyone else think? --- On Sun, 9/19/10, Cupkeyk <cup...@gmail.com> wrote: |

Why change the process if it’s working naman?
I hate the subjectivity of just letting us know when we should level up. For example, we can argue that as we finished an adventure hook last session, we should have all leveled up already.
Now, unless Gandalf agrees to just tracks total XP needed by a 4-man-average team to level up every time he prepares his adventures, he can plan his adventure hooks to always get us to level up just as we need to… In essence, siya na magtatrack ng XP natin as a group.
Yun lang.

But it doesn't work. We are expected to get a specified number each level but Randall places them at key encounters instead of randomly dropping them. That way Randall can time them accordingly, he drops parcels and lets us level up. ^_^ |
| hm. good point. is that the reason i keep falling behind? |

from my observation yes. You are old school kasi eh. Treasure nowadays is something that powers up the PC's, while you believe it is something that happens after a monumental arc. If levelling up happens similarly, you won't fall behind. |
| but the drops are usually combos (2 parcels in 1) pero thanks for pointing that out. are people still feeling underpowered? i doubt the others'll go for the idea though. neal's right. masyadong subjective and it takes some accomplishment away from the players |
