This is from the TV series Dragnet:

Bill's Secret Barbecue Sauce

Bill says "Use it on lamb and you'll never know it's lamb!"

Ingredients:

1 qt. ketchup

1 can red pepper

1 can hot mustard

1 qt. vinegar

1 lb. peeled red peppers, freshly chopped

1 small jar of oregano

4-5 cloves of garlic

1. Mix ingredients in a large, chilled bowl using an electric mixer.

2. Add 5 chopped Bermuda onions.

(Now here comes the secret part...)

3. Add one quart vanilla ice cream and mix again.

How big a can? I have cayenne in 2 oz, 4 oz, and 8 oz cans and 1#
bags. Dry mustard in 3 oz, 6 oz and 18 oz sizes. I think it's gonna
make a difference. Bv)=

Who knows, this was from the 1968 series. Might as well hit up the Ralph's on Sunset for some Aunt Jemima syrup, some Kaiser broiler foil, and a pair of blunt scissors!

That would be a long stretch - 1800+ miles to get to a Ralph's. Bv)=

I like the vinegar-chile bbq sauces better than the Bullseye/KC
Monsterpiece style anyway.
