Guru Poornima celebrations this year - Children's program

Dear parents,

Like every year we will be celebrating Guru Poornima this year too.
This year Roopa has taken a lead in organizing some children's
performances. It would be wonderful if all Matru Mandir present and
past students participate in this program as Guru Poornima is a very
important sanskaar (tradition) in our education system. It helps
students to remain in gratitude with teachers. Here is the email Roopa
has sent to all. You can directly contact her in case you wish to have

Dear Rishis, friends and families,
It is time to finalize our program for our guru Poornima day coming up
July 7, Saturday. Program will be in morning through afternoon. Given
below is a list of people so far responded and enlisted in the
program. The program will be finalized by next week so please turn in
your name, email, phone no. and specific talent by then if you wish
your child to participate in the program.

Programs: 1. Dance: Kathak: 6 minutes: Anjali and Neerja Shukla
2. Songs: Possibly A&N if not full

Would somebody like to take charge of setting up a skit? The story of
Eklavya could be performed. We can have several children in it. It
could be 7-10 minutes long. You would have to get the story in the
first place, then write up a script that is child appropriate. We will
need one main person and few assistants. You will have to meet for
rehearsal for several Saturdays/Sundays with all the "cast". So please
let me know within the next few days.
