I was forwarded this info. from the CA Early Childhood Mentor Program
and thought some of you may be interested:

Dear Mentor Program Coordinator and/or Director Mentor,

You were recommended as someone who might be willing to join the
Speaker's Bureau of the (San Francisco) Bay Area Coalition for Play.

The Coalition is forming this Bureau as a way to reach out to various
community groups to raise awareness and support for children's play.
We are a group of educators and other professionals who are concerned
about the increasing lack of time and spaces for children to engage in
play. We promote the importance of play throughout the lifespan, and
especially in children, to support learning, well-rounded development,
and quality of life.

If you are interested in becoming part of our developing bureau of
local experts on play, please click on this link to answer 10 brief
questions about your interests and willingness to speak:
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/BDJPV5P

The survey will take about 5 to 8 minutes. Please don't hesitate to
contact Julie Nicholson, Mills College, with any questions you may
have about the bureau and/or the Bay Area Coalition for Play.
