Question: How can I verify that my game files are installed correctly?Answer: A variety of issues ranging from graphic issues like missing textures or items to crashing or freezing while playing can be resolved by verifying the integrity of the game...
If you want an idea of what this mod does try mpheist4. First play in Cayo Perico, then install the mpheist4 zip with OpenIV Package installer, takes about 1-2 mins. Then launch game and go to Cayo Perico to test and see for yourself.
If you don't like it then it was not like you had to invest much time.
But in my opinion it is worth giving it a shot. I get tired of trying to convince people, actually I am not try to convince; rather encourage them to simply see for themselves. I truly believe you will be happy but what do I know. Whatever you choose just go have fun. Ok
Cheat engine is included in our mod to help gameplay for extremely low end rigs; but, it also can help Mega download speed. Here's a link with examples showing how to increase Mega download speed also has cheat engine download.
-to-download-faster-from-mega-with-megadownloader.html
Why use mega? when I closed the tab, the download ends. It's not easy for me, and when the download corrupts too much I have to pay to get unlimited to finally get it. Why not do an instant, or torrent download?
A question for manual install: Sorry if this seems like such a noobish question to ask but to manual download, do I just drag and drop the downloaded files contained in the folder "update.rpf options" and place them into the mods folder??
After i posted the link to THIS thread the 100th time now in Discord, i thought about updating it and give you guys some tips for server-sided modding in RageMP. This way you can add every file which effects the gta world (ymap, ytyp, ydr, ybn, ytd, yft, meta, etc.)
A dlcpack base:
I would recommend Dekurwinators because inside the .rpf he tells you where each file belongs. Although you can choose between different dlcpacks prepared for your needs
-mods.bitrix24.site/dlctemplates/
To paste your files in you have to click on "edit mode" (this prevents you from accidently deleting stuff) and just drop it in.
You can delete custom_placement, _manifest and the files within the other folders to have a clean dlcpack (i would recommend not to delete the readme texts to know where each file belongs). Do not rename folders or files within the rpf because the paths inside are set in the content.xml and changes to the structure without the right adjustments crashes your game.
I have a .xml file, how do i add that?
- To add .xml files you have to convert them into .ymap. I would recommend to create maps with Codewalker anyway because you can export your map directly to .ymap.
My game crashes while loading, what to do?
- If your game crashes while loading there can be many reasons. First thing i would check is the folder structure of your dlc.rpf and compare it to the content.xml.
I did everything as you told but nothing appeared ingame?
- If you cant see any changes check if your dlc.rpf is in the right place (RageMP\server-files\client_packages\game_resources\dlcpacks\foldername\dlc.rpf).
Once these two are installed, you're now ready to begin your journey. (I'm not going over how to install these because it's quite simple, OpenIV just needs your game directory and ArchiveFix just needs to be extracted.)
NOTE; You must setup ArchiveFix in order for it to properly work. See Nervous' guide on how to that and OpenIV up.
This is where you'll be dragging all of your replacement files to. A backup for this isn't necessary due to the fact that even if you put the base backup in, your dlc.rpf folder was still modified. Hence why you need to make a backup for dlc.rpf.
6. Drag all of the "ydr" and "ytd" files found within the weapon replacement onto OpenIV, it'll automatically replace the files. You can double click on the "ydr" files to ensure that your model was successfully replaced.
NOTE; Some weapon mods, such as the one I used for this tutorial, have different texturing options. For example, mine has both a wood and black texture. Most mods really won't have this, they'll usually have all the files and a ReadMe in the folder itself. DON'T drag the ReadMe or a folder containing textures in, only drag in the "ydr" and "ytd" files.
This has been a highly requested tutorial, keep in mind this is only for the creation of add-on mods, these do not change direct game files, they are simply dragged to the 'dlcpacks' folder of the server on your Rage-MP directory, mostly for re-texture mods.
Keep in mind: The base files provided for the add-on creation will only work for textures, for such things as vehicle models or weapon models, you'll need other base files as they will not use textures.rpf most likely, take a look here and download according to your needs or the all-in-one package, the process however is the same as shown, this will work also for the so blessed nipple mods everyone keeps asking me over and over for another variant, you can now do it yourself and stop asking, since they're basically textures.
8 - Create the folder according to what you named the mod on the .xml files, drag the dlc.rpf inside, and you're done, just drag the folder to the dlcpacks of the server you wish to connect.
EDIT: I think I might be in the right path; I took the dlc.rpf of the game (following the path given on the download's install settings) and copied it outside; the archives (textures, models, metadata, etc. are there to replace, but within the dlc.rpf where these archives are there is a million more, I ain't sure if I should keep the rest or just remove it all and add the ones from the mod, plus I've got to look further into the content.xml, it's kinda messy. I'll update tomorrow when I'm awake.
Confirm this works with player/tattoo models. While you don't necessarily need to make a running/working folder I do recommend how the OP did it. You'll end up with a lot cleaner structure and it's less confusing in the long run if and when RageMP or an update breaks your mods.
Taking a look at the files of that first mod I can tell you that it most likely works, that seems to however just change the normal ped skins. but the process should be the exact same as shown above.
It's got YDD, YFT, YMT and YTD files. The thing is, that I don't know if I should create a path on the dlc.rpf file like this: dlc.rpf\x64\models\cdimages\patchday3ng.rpf\ replicating what it's supposed to replace or just toss it on a dlc.rpf\x64\models\ folder. I'm also having a hard time finding BASE ADDON FILES for these. Maybe I could create them myself?
Install ScriptHookV.
Install OpenIV aswell the OpenIV.ASI which adds the ability to load custom archives and adds support to the allmighty "mods" folder. (The installer should then create a mods folder already in your GTA install directory).
Install VSCode if you don't have already and finally 7-Zip
Create a folder named after your DLC e.g. natioh in \Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\ .
Once headed to \Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\natioh\ create a Rage Packaging File (RPF), as name enter dlc.
Now you should have a dlc.rpf inside your natioh where we put our mods and files (like carvations.meta, handling.meta, vehicles.meta and so one) inside.
Now open the dlc.rpf with OpenIV and we will create the folder structure in there. You need to create some folders (note that I use the default R* structure):
Earlier we copied the update.rpf from \Grand Theft Auto V\update\ to Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update. Now we can move on and edit files inside.
We need to edit two files: dlclist.xml & extratitleupdatedata.meta. They are located in Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\update.rpf\common\data.
Edit the file using OpenIV and add the following line to the Paths section:
1.) extract .yft + .ytd files to a location you prefer and rename then to fbi3.
2.) import the files to the natiohvehicles.rpf dlc.rpf\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles\natiohvehicles.rpf
3.) Add the vehicles.meta, handling.meta or similiar files to your meta files in dlc.rpf\data\
4.) Once done start GTA V. You should be able to spawn the car via RAGE or a trainer.
The RPF file is commonly associated with the Grand Theft Auto (GTA) game series, particularly with the PC version. These files are archives that contain various game data, such as models, textures, scripts, and other resources used by the game engine.
