I am hoping that you might be able to tell me how I can spread the
word to your runners about a great new opportunity the American Cancer
Society has. It is called DetermiNation. The DetermiNation program is
the American Cancer Society’s nation of athletes determined to end
cancer. This powerful and inspiring movement saves lives by enabling
athletes to dedicate their training and participation in marathons,
triathlons, cycling races, and other endurance events to a lifesaving
effort to fight a disease that has already taken too many lives.

Runners is your club can help in several ways.

Sign up to run the Big Sur International Marathon or another
DetermiNation event. We provide training, a jersey, fundraising prizes
plus a VIP experience for you at the race. If you are interested in
signing up as a participant for DetermiNation at the Big Sur
International Marathon, you first have to register for the Big Sur
International Marathon. You can go to www.acsdetermination.org/bigsur
to find a link for the Big Sur International Marathon and to sign up
for DetermiNation.
Join a committee to promote DetermiNation to runners.
Create VIP events and identify event sponsors.
With every step you take and mile you conquer, you'll help create a
world with more birthdays.
